Hey All!

Anyways straight to the point, my computer shuts down for no reason. For example when i go online to the virus checker and start the program online for virus checker it just shuts down and then when i start my computer it tells me thermal heating? what the hell is that all about? ay heating? theres 2 fans in the damn computer.. it always happens when say i download somethin big.. or install something big in my computer!

this is the problems with the shitty bahraini computers.. i dunno why these stupid no brand computers have lots of faults.. this is the LAST time i'll buy somethin made locally! I dont care if i buy another computer worth 2thousand dinars, as long as its a brand and it will last longer!

anyways can any one tell me whats wrong with the computer? thanks! :)

i used a virus scanner and it found them, i got it from MSN, now whenever i use msn it sends it to my other contacts!
I tried to clean them, but it says that it cant clean compressed files

should i press delete to delete them, or should i close them in the running programs?

delete them And if it's bothering even ur msn remove the msn and reinstall it later on :up2:

Hello Dear,

before the winxp logo appears in the start up press F8,
then choose SAFE command (i dont remember exactly what it says safe mode or safe command)
next the computer will run with the minimum level, now run the virus scan and it will deleted the files infected.

otherwise you should format you computer.

about the heating you can do 1 of 2 things:

a) open the computer case to see that the processor fan is working at high speed.
b) press DEL while you are starting the computer to inter the BIOS Settings
in this section look for hardware monitor(this is available on some boards only) and look for the cpu speed if it is more the 3000 then it is ok but it is slow if it is less then you need to replace it.

please send me a message specifiying if the computer is restarting or shuting down because each one has a private explaination.

try to replace the fan of the processor as soon as possible to prevent damage to the processor or the main board.

Try Geant for the XP CD and check if it was Service Pack2.
also try Norton Anti-Virus 2005 CD better then the online.

no no no you have to check the thermal compound that sits between the fan and the processor when that is missing the heat cant be transferred and it causes a standard shut down this stuff is very imporatant if it is missing you should either get it replaced or get the area fixed .in these situations many pcs have exploded so you should be careful.
it over heats because when you install big stuff like games or run antivirus it uses 90percent of your processor power an d the heat can t go any where.
