First of all,i'd like to say hello to everyone in the group. Never knew Bahrain had such an extensive not to mention comprehensive sportbike racing setup here.I am impressed to say the least.
Secondly, i really want to get a bike but i have a few hurdles in front of me..
1)I've never really ridden before..i mean i've gone up and down a couple of times on my buddy's Pulsar(its a bajaj 180cc) back in India..but i was just barely able to get the knack of shifting gears.I've been on a Honda Cbz too(another 150cc bike)..but again not for very long.So i was wondering if the motorcycle license course here would be good enough to teach me what i need to know.
2)Would it be ok if i strted on a 600cc bike..because im really into sportbikes..not for racing though..more like just to get me around.
3)Is there anyplace in Bahrain i could look around for a secondhand bike,so even if i were to drop the bike a cuple of times..it woudnt give me a cardiac arrest.

It would be neat it if someone could help me out with these questions.

till then..ride safe

WELCOME TO THE MAD HOUSE
For the madness to begine dail 1800-lost-my-mind :screwy:
The traffice department here is GREAT..who am i kidding.. okay.. you apply for it and they give you 12 hours or lessons on a 125 motorcycle, after the 12 hours or lessons you go in for a test..you pass..welcome to the mad roads of bahrain!

If you are into sportbikes a 600cc is a great bike to start on, i think there are many Honda 600's for sale here and there and as the weather changes thier prices will drop a little..you could get one for 1600BD to 2200BD for a 2000 model and upwards. Where to find it is you have to ask around or look in the papers as most people who sell dont advertise only a few. Word of mouth usually does the most trick and work.
Take care bro and once again Welcome to GGT :driving:

Lots? as in like for sale lots? not that i know of, but you can try Nader Garage he sometimes has some bikes there for sale or will know who's selling what and for how much.
There are no Used Bike Lots here that i know off.
