Can anyone please help me by giving me some information about DVD writters ..! I'm aiming to buy one to start my project ! Can anyone list the best DVD writter .. and I'd prefer to get a very cheap one :tome:

I'm using the 16X LG GSA-4160B.. The blank media in Bahrain can't be burnt at speeds higher than 8x.. Most you'll run accross won't be more than 4x probably.. Burns regular CDs at 40x which isn't bad at all.. Also supports Double-Layer DVD burning (DVD's that carry upto 8.5 GB).. Kinda hard to get hold of those blanks in Bahrain too :scwery:

Anyway, I'm happy with it and never had problems.. Never had to throw a blank away cuz it didn't work.. I even used it to make backup coppies of my Navigation DVD disk.. Got it for 45BD at the time which was probably 6 months ago if my memory serves me right.. (kinda tired)..

Basically it will does all you need to do and ever more **** that you won't probably need to do at a really good price...!

i got a sony DVD writer that supports dual layer dvds,,about the dual layer dvds,u can get hold of them in manama,forgot the place name,but they r freakin expensive ! 1 dual layer dvd is for 3.5BD !!

LG is the best one to get nowadays and an external one is as cheap as internal . i hav the lg super multi drive obviously im bot gonna use all the formats but it comes at a great price

u can gind dual layer from LG and Sony for 35 dinars...
but i think pioneer is one of the best , better than them both
but u have to order out of bahrain
