Performance
As far as performance goes, Lexus has taken an electrifying approach to hybrid technology. We have been able to tune a hybrid system to perform in some situations like an "electric supercharger." In fact, several Formula One teams have even investigated the hybrid approach as a next step in engine evolution. It's an evolutionary step you can enjoy now.

Dual Power Supply
During strong acceleration and when maximum power is required, the Lexus hybrid technology simultaneously uses its internal combustion engine and electric motor for exceptional performance. When the electric motor supports the V6 engine it provides high torque, which means smooth and cultivated acceleration--free from any gearshift lag. Plus, the extra torque that the electric motor provides makes the engine feel considerably larger than it actually is.

Electric Power Steering
Utilizing a similar technology found in modern jet planes, Electric Power Steering (EPS) allows the driver to steer with the aid of a computer that analyzes driving conditions to adjust responsiveness. The result is steering that's quicker, quieter and more rewarding than conventional steering. Another benefit is lighter weight and boosted efficiency, since fewer parts are needed.

Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management
Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management System is a radical new development in automotive safety. Utilizing more responsive sensors and highly sophisticated algorithms, the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management System constantly monitors a number of variables to help the driver avoid a potential accident while cornering. By anticipating such problems, the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management System is designed to effortlessly adjust the speed, throttle, braking, steering and lean of the vehicle.
