 never seen this happen b4
but now they have to get at least a point in their away game and score a goal or two coz a goalless draw wont help..

The new date for the first leg will be October 8 in Tashkent and the second leg in Bahrain on October 12.

"The referee stole our second goal and now FIFA is stealing our first goal.” - UFF spokesperson. :hahano:
they are appealing to fifa for continuing the match from the 39th minute with the score 1-0 n the match starting with a penalty being retaken, but the best thing is that fifa have not left any door open for appeal against their decision and the decision is final and cannot b reversed.
one more good news for bahrain is that a'laa hubail might b back b4 the first game.

Referee Toshimitsu Yoshida has been suspended for an indefinite period following his blunder in the recent World Cup play-off game between Uzbekistan and Bahrian.
In the first leg of the match in Tashkent, with the hosts leading by a single goal, the Japanese official disallowed a converted penalty after encroachment and then, instead of ordering the kick to be retaken, awarded a free-kick to Bahrain. FIFA then declared the game invalid and ordered a replay scheduled for October 8.

"Unfortunately a mistake has taken place and what the referees’ committee is going to do is lift the name of the referee off the list of allotted referees, but for how long we don’t know," Football Asia reported AFC president Mohamed bin Hammam as saying.

"He is suspended at AFC level and FIFA level."

The Uzbeks were not sure what they wanted," said bin Hamman. "In the beginning they asked for a 3-0 result for that match, but no law will support that and FIFA will not support that. Then they asked for the game to be restarted with the penalty but no law is going to support that either.

"The match is finished after 90 minutes and the result was 1-0 and the team who is the victim of the bad refereeing was the team that won the three points. For me, this is the result, let us accept it and let us award Uzbekistan the three points. What if Uzbekistan had been leading 3-0 or 4-0 and there had been this mistake? Are we going to replay the match? No, justice has been made by this decision."

Football Asia also quoted FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

"The representatives of the Uzbekistan football association asked us to go back to our decision but this is the decision,. Afterwards it was confirmed by the executive committee, so the decision is upheld."

"There was a precedent and I want to make this call, especially for those who haven’t been following exactly what happened in the match. We are not making a decision on the facts, we are talking about a technical error in the application of the rules of the game."

it was a fair result better than the 1-0 scoreline,
defense needs to improve a looottt b4
wednesdays game..
S.Adnan was in stunning form
but Marzooqi was pathetic
he didnt do anything to stop the guy frm
heading the ball..
anywayz if the defense is tighter on wednesday
theres a big chance that Bahrain will win..

why does Bahrain suck so much? they played so badly AGAIN! but Alaa Hubail, now that guy rocks! You know what i think, im sure if bahrain play the U/21 or U/19, they would beat Uzbekestan easily.. :hyper:

October 9th, 2005, 02:15 AM
Give Uzebekistan credit, they are tough to beat at home and I thought we played well today! The defence struggled against their physical forwards, their longs ball strategy seemed to becausing problems but we controlled the midfield for most parts of the game especially the first half. Talal Yousif played his first good game for the NT in almost a year now, about time.. he wasn't as selfish as usual, worked hard and ran alot and scored a goal, Hussain 'Pele' was too isolated and didn't get proper service but I expect to see the same line up(maybe Far7an for Baba) on wednesday with Ala'a coming on earlier!

YALLA BAHRAIN!

You still call that shitty player 'Pele'? Pele my ass!
And the defence sucked, that old defender Juma Basheer(not sure of his name) didnt even play well. And are you serious about Far7an?? When has he ever done anything good for Bahrain. He should be dropped from Bahrains national team! Baba had a bad game, but hes one of the best defenders bahrain has got. And another mistake is that they didnt play Moh'd Hussain.. The whole team is wrong. Bahrain should play

4 1 3 2
(4)
Right - Marzoogi
Center - Ali Baba
Center - Mohd Hussain
Left - Juma (theres no other player)
(1)
Seyad Whatever his name is (The tall dude)
(3)
Right - Talal Yousif
Center - Mohd Salmeen
Left - Salman Isa
(2)
Right - Duaij Nasser
Left - Alaa Hubai.
-------------------

Look at how many players i dropped.. all those players suck.. And 1 more player i want to kick out of the team is the ancient goalkeeper who never HOLDS on to the ball.. i dont even know his name! HE SUCKS!! 34years old and i dont know where they found him from.. hes too short!
We have an excellent goalkeeper, and hes young and HES TALL.. hes always on the bench, they should give him a chance.

Its all messed up, i feel the bahrain football federation has a say in who plays, cause how stupid can someone be when they put players like Farhan and that goalkeeper in?

999r
October 9th, 2005, 12:46 PM
i agree the keeper is too short,
a keeper's height shud at least b 6 feet
but i guess he's the best at his job in bahrain..
i dont think mohd hussain is in form or else he wud hav been playing definitely
wat about rashid dosari n mohd hubail they must play
i dont think duaij nassir can b useful mayb can bring him on as a sub in the dying stages of the match..
my formation wud b4-5-1 with 2 wingers..

ali hassan

s.adnan h.baba
marzoogi juma

rashid dosari
mohd hubail salman isa
m.salmeen t.yousef

ala'a hubail

its all up 2 the coach now
lets c his choice..

that problem is that they always play well away but once they play home infront of their own fans, thats where the disaster starts.

I think that the bahraini national team players have too much pride in them selfs thats why they always fail to achieve anything, each player wants to win the game by himself and not work as a team.

Mammadi
October 10th, 2005, 02:29 PM
Yes I'm serious about Far7an.. I don't like him at all but he's the only defensive midfielder we have who can tackle and play tough, Hussain Baba and Rashid Al Doseri(used to be good, not anymore..) don't tackle/win balls like Far7an does.

Moh'd Hussain was injured. Ali Hassan is our best goalkeeper, the tall goalkeeper you talk about is Sayed Mohammed Jaafar and Ali Hassan is better, way better! He's too short, yes but he's the best we have.

Playing Ala'a and Duaij(he's not match fit, Al Wakra were thinking about cancelling his contract because he's...fat!! :D) won't work because both are short and very similiar in style, Hussain 'Pele :D' is a good finisher, he doesn't move or dribble like the other two but he's a better striker inside the area...

Anyhow, let's hope for once, our team performs in our stadium and in front of the fans!! I don't want to leave the stadium disapponited again..

it's T&T..

Bahrain To Face Trinidad And Tobago In Play-Off

After squeezing past Uzbekistan in the Asian Zone play-offs on away goals, Bahrain will face Trinidad and Tobago in the final play-off game.
The Caribbean side finished fourth place in the CONCAFAF qualifying region and will face the tiny Gulf State in the two-legged affair on November 12 and 16 with a place in Germany 2006 at stake.

Trinidad and Tobago shocked Mexico by coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 courtesy of a Stern John brace.

Neither nation has appeared in the World Cup finals before.
