My friend is going to change his transmission to manual and he found a canceled car same as his car.
The owner of the scrap told him that he will sell everything related to the gear including the gages 120 Bd with the old clutches.
Now he is wondering if its possible for the gear to get damaged after the accident which that owner had in the car!
Plus that car had carbator engine and it should be fuel does this have anything to do with the gear ? ( i dont think so, but asking wont cost anything )
and how much does the new clutches cost if he is going to replace them ?
Need some help here guys :thinking2

Dear Adel,
what is the car?
and to be sure about the tansmission, you have to know if both cars run same trans, same model or part number.
2- the car in scrap yard was it hit hard is the car totally damaged or is it a front hit or reat hit look carefully where the car has been damaged and has the damage reached the trans area.
it's always good to overhaul the trans to be on the safe side and let one of the known garages here to have a look at it and give you his opion about it.
Good luck.

how is the car the same as his
but 1 is carbed and the other is EFI?
this doesn't happen to be a honda does it?
where was the impact of the accident?
are the driving wheels ok or all bent up? (broken axles etc)
changing the clutch is not expensive if the tranny is already off the car anyway...
because the labor is the expensive part generally...

after asking the owner of the scrap he told us that the engine and the gear were just added to this car and they are not the orginal parts because the car had a vtec engine + gear and they replaced it before selling the car.
