nice comparison.....but dont forget....your average indian can and would most probably spend a night sleeping out on a street ground, most of Americans wont. Some poor indian towns are used to flooding and living by basic needs in life. Americans cant live without cable television.

the point is......if you live everyday in a warzone, and a bomb destroys a building it is life as usual. On the other hand if you live for example in Riffa and a bomb destoys a building it will be all over the news.

nice comparison... very true..

but experience plays a part too...

indias torrential rains are nothing new to them... its been part of their life for centuries...

katrina was something that hadn't happend and probably wont occur again for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to come... plus they have that ape bush to guid them through it.

This is what surprisess me!!
Why cant those states be ready? I mean seriously.... Florida gets hit by hurricanes every summer!

The probabilities of earthequakes hittnig California every year is low, but hurricanes?? Its a no brainer!!!

Its just plain neglegence from the government! They were too busy spending billions of dollars of congress approved funds on wars!!!!!

having been in india for 5 good years...all i can say is that they use a
heave-ho way of doing things..so if something in india happens ...their military will just make a run for it....n do a patch up work and surprisingly get the job done.....in the states however pre planning...systematic way n follow of stict rules may cause the delay....a simple example:

if in india there was a thing as traffic laws everything will be delayed by hours.....but they find "squeeze thru" way of riding more convenient n gets u from a to b faster......they themselves say ...if we follow rules itd take all day....ride as u like n ur there in 20 minits....exactly the "patch up" kind of work i meant....ever saw the fire in a tall building where the labourers built a ladder by bamboos tied by rope n saved the people when their fire brigade stood n watched.....

shigel ay kalam..........bas very effective

you know what really gets on my nerves? now the whole world is like oh my god poor new orleans its such a big disaster... when in reality this happens all around the world and on a much bigger scale, its just a case of exposure. something happens in the states and tv is all over it... something 10 times bigger happens in some other part of the world and nothing happens... and now you have all these singers doing shows to raise money, i dunno what, i even saw people in bahrain trying to raise money to send for the "katrina victims".. wtf we have much bigger problems a lot closer to home... its not a big deal i think i can get by with no home for a while; yes its sad but CHILL THE HELL OUT its a lot worse in other parts of the world.... and theyre still talking about it on tv and they will continue talking about it for the next few years and make an anniversary date like they do for september 11th like what the hell... things happen people die this is earths way of saying hey im overpopulated you know some ppl gotta die....

as if the states is a country that needs more money raised for them... fackin deficit because they spend godknows how much attacking other countries... and they got agoddamn monkey for a president i swear just put me in charge and see how i sort things out... juts put me in charge...

4ced induction for president :headbang:

now if only someone can shoot an entire documentary of the positive side of the arab world, its youth, the misconceptions the west has about our way of life, the breakthroughs we have achieved, etc etc...and a little bit of the negative side (just to keep it real) now that would make us look good...fight media with media.

come to think of it, the deserts of uae have turned into greenery, now isnt that a project worth bragging about? we arabs need to show off a little more on tv, thatll really make us look good.
