WHEN WE LAST SPOTTED A prototype of Ford’s all-new 2005 Mustang, the tiny photos we published hardly did the car justice. But thanks to yet another spy shooter, we’re able to provide this fairly complete look at Ford’s redesigned sports car inside and out, and in comparison to the outgoing model

The redesigned 2005 Mustang is still slated for a fall 2004 debut, riding on a platform derived from the premium rear-wheel-drive chassis under the Lincoln LS, Jaguar S-Type and Ford Thunderbird. But lest the Mustang price spiral out of reach for the common man, Ford has created a less-expensive version of the same platform and will offer a range of V6 and V8 engine choices.
If you like the looks of the chrome-bezeled instrument panel, get ready to add about $300 to your sticker price
