you shouldnt be afraid of death... sure the idea might get you down a bit... but when its your time to go... well... its your time to go... im just worried about the other people who are around me right now... family, people i take care of etc... but its gods will, you cant change it...

judgement day i have a lot to fear from... i know ive committed so many sins in my life... and even when i tell myself ive done wrong somehow i try to repent yet end up doing some more... allah kareem

by the way, if youre a true believer you will not witness the coming of judgement day. all the believers will have been deceased, and the only ones witnessing the horn will be those non-believers who are left...

some of the major signs of judgment day in order:

- The rising of the sun from the west.

- The smoke. The smoke will appear all over the Earth which will cause all believers to catch something similar to a slight cold, whereas the unbelievers will be hit harder by it.

- The wind will take the souls of the believers.

- The fire will drive the people to their final gathering place, and this will be the final day of judgement. Three blasts of the trumpet (fear & terror, death, resurrection).

Oh well. I refuse to vote. Because i refuse to feel anything towards something I dont understand!

I dont know how it feels to die, or be dead. I dont know if there is judgement day! And so, i will not specualte on my feelings cause there are none there.

What i would like to know though.. is:

Why does islam instruct us not to question our faith, not to question the un-known and yet, God has created us humans with a brain and soul in which "curiousity and ambition" is a major part of?

How fair is that? Why descriminate? Every creature on this planet, every being has this unanimous quality. "curiosity". And yet, us humans are told that we are different and that we should hold back these characteristics.

Yes, it makes sense not to feel certain things, or do certain things or even say them. But please someone tell me that its our fault for being this way!

Wouldnt this world be a better place if some sort of miracle happened today and this flash of light decended from the sky in the form of an angel, or God himself or whatever, and told the world the truth? Told the world about judgement day and religion and etc etc?

And then there would be absolutely no doubt, and everyone would be on their best behaviour, and have a stronger faith in god??? Come on... what is this? CLUEDO???? Is this meant to eb a guessing game for someone up there? A game show perhaps???

Thank You

"enjoyment"... that is a desire us humans have. Unfortunately, as a muslim, you gotta kick it!

this thing about "kicking" all enjoyment and worldy desires etc is not correct... as logn as you dont let it take over you and make you forget the correct direction then it should not cause any sort of problem... ever notice that when youre in deep problems you start turning to god? but when evrything is running perfectly and youre wealthy up to your ears suddenly you dont remember who your own god is...

i have never read any quraanic verse or hadeeth telling us to "not question our faith" or follow it blindly... where did you get this from?

Dont ask me, just ask a religious cleric!

Define "who your god is" please?

Cause a person that forgets his god is a person who denounces him!

Let me ask you this? Poor or rich, do you mention your God before you eat? Do you mention him after you're done? Do you mention him when you realise you have what others dont? Do you mention him when you are about to do something for the first time? etc etc

Is that not enough? Couple this with helping others in need and being there for those who are in need! Is that not enough? Sharing and caring and stepping on envy and ego, is that not enough?

Or do i have to kneel down 5 or 3 times a day and do it the way it was told? Or just perform the rituals of islam?

I need someone to weigh it out for me and tell me "one makes up for the other". Thats all !

But no one will! No one will speculate and they would rather say "NO" you should perform the rituals, screw the other things.. than put their assses on the line and say "its OK, as long as they are good deeds, then fine"....

No one will tell you that!

yep ur right, they do allow questioning upto a certain limit after which they'll start giving u dirty looks

i still think that performance of the basic rituals is the way through which your other good deeds get accepted, if not done strictly as it is im afraid everything else goes to waste and i dont think theres a single cleric out there who will say something else bout this matter

well tameem i think thats wrong... probably the clerics you mean here are the total extremists..

and designo, no one will tell you? well theyre only human and such questions are too complex for them to answer... what do you believe inside? your "نية" has a lot to do with it too... but if you know that praying fasting etc are a must and youre not doing them, then you there is probably some sort of divine punishment in relation to this...

do i mention gods name before i eat? when i remember i have more than others etc? well yes i do... not always and not most of the time but yes i do every now and then... and its a good thing it puts me back in perspective on how well God has treated me

Let me ask you a question musty?

You say you belieive in allah, fine! Although there is absolutley no real proof to you he exists, yet your heart and belief and faith tells you "YES"! OK

Do you also beleive that LS1 cars can beat M5's? We have seen it many many times over again, yet you refuse to accept it! Why? Is it because your heart says so, your faith and belief?

So what is right and what is wrong?

I used to ask a lot of questions and couldn’t get the perfect answer and even worst, I don believe in God but once you search, read and believe you will find the perfect answer in Holy Quran. Its hard to understand Quran and its not easy to get the answers, all you have to do is you Go to Shikha and ask him to explain it for you and he will do it ( simple isn’t ).

Why Quran is miracle?
Could you answer this question !

Good

Why Quran is a miracle? I have no idea!

Its a fancy question! someone long time ago asked me this question:

What is the prophet's miracle? I answered, seeing the angel, or being able to read or write, or the incident with the spider etc etc

He laughed and said to me.. NO!!! Its the Quran!

Immediately i felt stupid, but not as stupid as he felt when i asked him

Please explain further, and explain why my answers are wrong? He couldnt explain why my answers were wrong!!!

I said to himj... you are brainless cause you mimick what they teach you without logic! You are taught not to ask, and not to deviate frmo what is told!

It just sounded fancy when you anser "the holy quran" to people who ask this question. But please explain to me why it is the ONLY miracle???

I dont wanna complicate issues, i am a simple guy with alot of question that beleives in today's world, will not get a decent straight forward answer that will not conflict with other mathaaahib!

Life is not like before, people have alot of shiit to worry about otherwise they will not surivive! And i dont wanna live my life preeching the lord and hoping for good fortune!

I wanna work for my future and work hard for my livelihood!

I used to have a lot of your skepticisim... I was brought up with my moms family being very religious, and all the time being taught that islam is right, the quran is the miracle of today, etc etc...

but i reached an age and started questioning myself... there are a hell of a lot more christians out there... and according to my muslim beliefs, all these christians are following the wrong faith... how many billion people following the wrong faith...

is it not possible that us, the muslims, are following the wrong faith?

then i looked around... the muslim societies are full of corruption, alcohol, hookers, and it is all kept undercover under the pretend name of islam...

so whats wrong here.... maybe islam is all based on a lie?

then i read some more... and some more...

and i read things that made me more skeptical... and some things that made sense...

but after all the reading and studying i believe... i know it is true deep in my heart... sure i have a very strong feeling towards this religion but on top of that, i have a little knowledge to back it up... sure it isnt the full knowledge that i want it to be and i still have a LONG way to go... but ive satisfied my curiosity...

Ahmed, the quraan is a miracle for so many reasons...

1- it has been written almost 1500 years ago, yet it has facts that are being discovered nowadays... if you want i can start a thread posting some of these...

2- I've heard a lot about Muhammed pbuh fabricating the quraan to create his own religion and to make people follow him... Muhammed pbuh was illiterate at the time God brought down the quraan... how is it possible that he brought out such a well written scripture back then? and full of facts that have only been discovered today?

3- The principles in the quraan, and of islam itself, are beautiful... they are definately not being applied, but if they were then the world would serioulsy be a beautiful place... a world i would not mind bringing up my children in, not like the world we live in today...

eddie its hard to explain, i still have a lot more to go through and i have not acquired near enough knowledge to provide a solid answer i can give to others, but i promise that when i have that, you will be the first to hear it
