these 2 pics will explain that changein the car from a hard top into a convertible is possiable ( they compared the bmw 330ci coupe and the conv ) all wut i see is no big diff :confused: correct me if am wrong .. i need all the help

why should there be any difference in dimension?

there is always a difference in wieght due to the fact that convertible cars have heaviers chassis and lower centre of gravity characteristics, also they have been detuned for safety purposes!

yeah ok but remember this... when these cars were made their A pillar was made to handle not having to use the roof for support. With the A3 i dunno how strong it would be though... Some cars just wouldnt handle it and if you start driving fast enough it would break. Just make sure the guy you take the car to knows what he's doing... Ive seen some nissan patrols with the roof cut off in UAE. What the shop does is they support the a pillar somehow by adding another arch between the top of the windshield and the door... Because ones that didnt have this done were cruising in the desert at around 60 or so bumping up and down and suddenly the windshield breaks :S

my advice.. dont do it.. ull get alot of problems.. not safe.. im sure ull have a problem with wind noise at very low speeds not only at high speeds.. and r u sure it will look good? but if uve made up ur mind.. go ahead.. but let me tell u .. its not just the roof that u have to change but alot of other things.. u might need U bars and u never know what could fly off with all that wind.. u may even loose stability at high speeds.. so :confused:

dont do it ... it will never be like the real thing .. leakage, air comes through .. rattling while drivin lots of other stuff

bro with good reshapin i can do some good air dynamic and the wind prob will go away ... and money can do evry thing :bigok:

and so wut if it dont work out the way i want to sell and buy a conv but its not gonna be fun i wanna see look on ppls eyes when they see that car and i can bet that its gonna be FUN :bigok: :lmao:

sure its fun... if you have it as a second car which u wont drive a lot and stuff then 3adi... bs if its ur daily driver and the car ur gonna have all the time then i dont recommend... bs if ur gonna get it done let me know... ill bring the chainsaw :bigok:
