do u think we will ever see a honda or any jdm engine on an american hotrod ?
chassis is too heavy...
and american owners like the bottom end power..
they complain about having to "rev" to make power...
hence why the USDM s2k is the only one they made 2.2 ltrs cuz of the american complaints...
the other reason u see so many of these swaps is the price..
LS1's and other V8's are the RB20 of america, they're dirt cheap, and they're everywhere, because they're locally made... chevy also sells many crate engines... so u don't have to sit around and wait for an LS1 car to get cancelled to find one...
it's just more economically feasible... it's much cheaper then a "imported" Rb26 or 2JZ or VG30DETT etc....
an SR20 swap is almost the same price as a Used LS1... doesn't make it a tough choice...
ppl like the looks styling and handling of the japanese cars and the huge aftermarket stuff for them (aero part wise)
u can buy a older model RX7 with a blown motor in the USA for 400-500 bd
stick LS1+T56 in it for 2,000 more.. the stock Rx7 rear end can easily handle it... some suspension and brake work... khallas.. u got a killer track/AutoX car... that still gets 25MPG and has N/A reliability...
and that is why it is the way it is... it all comes down to $$$$ in USA chevy/ford will always be cheaper then toyota/nissan/mazda/honda...
LS1/LT1 =King of the bang for the buck!

i would rather power a RX7 with B20 3 roter engine than a LS type engine

Amazing, a universal engine that fits most cars...
Now we need an MB and BMW and an audi with an LS1 and thats it... Proof it fits everycar around...

The Miata has a removable steering wheel, and it's sitting in the passenger seat. Most cars that see racing duty have removable steering wheels for ease of getting in and out of the seat. Try removing yourself from a full race bucket seat with a steering hub extension and you will see what I mean.
