when you are creating the CD, do it as a data CD instead of audio CD.
when you choose Audio it will automatically convert the tracks to WAV.

i actually chose "mp3 disc" and "data disc"
both dont work. there are a few different settings such as ISO mode, UDF, etc... any idea which one im supposed to be using?
also, can mp3 cd players read files in folders or do they all have to be in the same folder. thx

which software are you using? usually use ISO mode.
and the head units are deferent, some read folders some dont.
Most of the modern ones read folders for all i know.

try Nero, if so make sure to select MP3 cd, if it worked on your car, then it was from the software otherwise try the cd on a diffrent player

Going to Audio CD and choosing MP3 disk should do the trick .. Check if you're doin everything right... Most units would play MP3 CD's whether they were burned in Data Disk or MP3 Disk format but some units will only play it if it was burned in MP3 Disk format like the unit in my car... Doesn't bother me though since I'll get enough music on 1 CD and the sound is CRISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSP...

Imation are great and theyre usually cheaper(wtf?) than the china cra and thai **** that is normally brung. i buy 50 Cd spindles and it comes to about 85 fils per cd and a normal chinese spindle im charged at about 110 per CD. not only that imation have a great burn rate and work great in a lot of other drives and players. not only that unlike sony they make their own product. sony buy millions of CDs from some chinese company and rebrand them... and theyre much more expensive
