kooora:

if the fifa decides to ban Iran n we refuse to go, they'll choose another team
so basically, if we get the chance IMO we must give it a shot!

lemme translate that for you...

german officials are considering kicking out iran of the world cup, because of all that stuff going down with its nuclear programme and all... anyway if iran is out the automatic next qualifier is bahrain... so technically, should bahrain accept if it was offered to go to the world cup on those terms?

That's stupid. Why should the athletes pay for the political issues. If Bahrain has any dignity or respect for their Persian brothers theyll decline. That is all.

they shouldnt take it. even if in four years iran does become nuclear capable and the same situation arises they shouldnt take it. Out of respect

the chance of that happening is 5%. We should be happy if it happens cuz the world cup is the world cup and it doesnt matter how you get there but the most important thing is that you got there and history will remember that

I agree with member Gemballa.. I do NOT think that it is fair for the Irani team to be chucked out for political issues, they earned their way to world cup..
BUT if we do go, i dont think its morally wrong to accept the offer.. theres nothing wrong about it...

I think the world cup should be completely stopped. Millions being payed to people who nothing more than to chase a ball of rubber filled with air. while millions around the world are starving and dieing everyday.
Disgraceful.

We could stop it tommorow and millions will still starve and people will still die. It's funny how that little round rubber filled with air can bring together a country and boost morale up despite of the current situations that country is facing. No sport does it like football.

I think the money being invested into football is stupid. shows u how ppl can forget others when they are enjoying the fruits of life.

Sometimes people dont have anything else. I cant speak for this side of the world but look at South American countries. Thier government is corrupt, there is famine, drugs are at a all time high, and kidnapping is rediculous there but through it all they have their football. Yes major sports have become corrupt thanks to the money but to some people it's all they have in a world of dispair.

its just a rumor ... fifa stated that they have no polotical intersts and that the world cup is to make the world more peacful .. as they play a major role in delegating peace between countries by sportsmanship...

dont you know what iran got banned?
I knew from what u have said " that because of what iran said about israel it got banned "
Iran is against Israel because of what Israeli people did to the muslim people in FALAS6IN.
now ur happy because bahrain will go instead of iran 2 the world cup?
If I was in charge of the Bahraini Team I would say exactly what Iran said to them and give them 2 fingers up their bangholes and their gayball game :motz2:

Anti-Designo- its simple u either agree or disagree, n about the money involved in football, if u look at it this way then they have to stop everything from football, F1, NBA, golf etc.... cuz all these sports involve huge amounts of money!!

Guys I know its unfair for Iran but u know how it is nowadays u can't say sh!t about Israel cuz u'll pay for it by (sports, trade, military action) it doesn't really matter as long as their paying the price

I just find its ridicilous that all these millions are payed to a player who runs around a grass field kicking a ball and why isnt some of that money being spared to some people who dont even have water to drink.
Think reality guys. We all love sports, but what about the people who are suffering? Why dont they get a chance in life? or is it an "its not my problem" kinda thing?

wow I guess burning tyres and blowing up gas cylinders should make you a millionaire right?

we live in the 21st century and in this day and age we are giving opportunities to gifted athletes by rewarding them

so have some appreciation for them instead of whining like a crybaby about how the world doesn't make sense to you

I still dont understand what world suffering has to do with sports. Even if you stop sports nothing will change.

Im not saying sports has anything to do with it. Im saying that the huge amounts of money that are payed out to players should be reconsidered. Because its ridicilous. Instead of paying them so much, why not pay them some and the rest gets contributed to helping the poor. You urself said football brings the world together. Then if it does, why dont we help eachother as well? i mean, whats wrong in that?

Youre thinking on a fantasy level. It's not up to "sports" to donate. It's individuals that have to want to do it and believe it or not many do. With your way of thinking just because something brings in high profits and revenue they owe it to the world to give it back. Well they dont. Why should only the high profit orginazations have to give back? Why not EVERY orginization? Youre thinking at a socialist level. It has to be a choice. Nobody or entity should have to give just because they have. Now my question to you with all do respect of course is what are you doing to help your fellow man? Do you donate? Do you give food? I would hope so. There are Africans that die of Famine everyday. Do you ever eat something not like it and throw it away? Do you take long showers using fresh water when people dont even have fresh water to drink in some areas? Before we go pointing the finger at the people with the haves we must take a long look in the mirror and ask ourselves what have we done to make a difference. Remember there is nothing wrong with people getting paid for thier talent. From the hard working housmaid to the superstar athelete. Just my 2fills on the subject.
