شرطة دبي تستوقف السائقين لا ‏لتغريمهم بل لمنحهم 60 ألف درهم
إن كنت تقود سيارتك في مدينة دبي ‏الإماراتية واستوقفك شرطي المرور، فلا تجزع ، لأنه قد يعطيك مغلفا يحتوي مبلغا من ‏النقود مكافأة على قيادتك السليمة والمتأنية. هذه آخر ابتكارات دبي في إطار حملتها ‏المتواصلة لمحاولة الحد من النسبة المرتفعة لحوادث السيارات المميتة. وينظم الحملة ‏الاتحاد الإماراتي لقيادة السيارات بالتعاون مع شرطة المرور في دبي ، حيث يجوب ‏العشرات من أفراد الجهتين شوارع المدينة بحثا عن سائقين يقودون بروية وبالتزام ‏بأنظمة السير لمنحهم جوائز مالية خصص لها مبلغ 60 ألف درهم إماراتي. وقالت روشانارا ‏سيت من اتحاد قيادة السيارات إن الهدف الأساسي من الحملة نشر التوعية المرورية بين ‏السائقين. وأضافت " سجلت الإمارات أحد أعلى معدلات حوادث السير القاتلة في العالم ، ‏وارتأينا أن من واجبنا المساهمة في محاولة كبح هذه الظاهرة الخطيرة". وفي يوم واحد ‏كان 13 سائقا تصفر وجوههم حين استوقفهم رجال شرطة المرور متسائلين عن ذنبهم قبل أن ‏تنفرج أساريرهم مع تسلمهم مغلفات المال.
