hello people,

yesterday i sold my lil echo and got myself a black 1995 chevy ss "impala" with some kinda aftermarket pipes that give a nice rumble

boy is it spacious, me at 185cm can strech my legs all the way and when like when driving the echo try to rest my elbow on the door i almost fell to the left cuz the doors so far away :lol:

with 260bhp i wasnt expecting much performance, but when the rider floord it i was thinking to myself what does a 350rwhp car feel like :blink:



engine and transmission are good but ive gotta work a lil bit on some stuff

a nice wash and service

needs a new interior (it aint so bad but im not satisfied)

paint the front part of the car (scratches) maybe later paint the whole car

wheel allignment real bad (to be done directly after work)

new air filter

i would sure like a chap experienced with chevys to sprinkle a bit of his magic on it to make it a 100% healthy car

like i said guys the cars condition is nothing more than "okay" in fact yesterday it overheated and i called "speedy" and its there at the mo

should i let speedy car services do the full service like

1) solving the heating problem
2) servicing that includes car wash, engine oil change, gear oil change, sparkplugs,

3) its got a k&n filter thats totally rotten and i dont see the original air filter box so im guessing i cant fit the filters speedy services use for the chevys can i????????

4) what places do u recommend for wheel balancing and steering alignment? cuz the handling is way off

5) when i start the car it dosnt start at once, it kinda pauses,gives a lil grunt then starts

ill most likley paint the car and redo the interior later but before that i wanna make sure it runs well

4) I can take you to a really good place for alignment if your willing to come
all the way to Hora..

5) after changing the spark plugs!!..oils..etc the car will start much better

they say its some kind of electrical prob and some belt needs replacement
but im warned against going to the chevy dealer for parts as theyre expensive

He Taameem, stay away from the Stealership. I use to go there alot for parts and even the guy that works there said the prices they chargered compared to the states is legal rape.

tameem : I go to the dealer for small stuff, belts, filters, Os sensors and such.

dont service your car at the dealer.. sure you can get your parts from there if you want but definately dont service...

anyhow, do the full service, plugs, wires, filters, belts etc... and if your intake has been changed to a cone then most probably you wont be able to fit the stock one, so just buy another cone filter around bd20 or so... alignment most places can do it for a few beedz... your car should be in good running shape after all this

heating problems well that can come up to a million different things, from blocked radiator, to low coolant level, to faulty thermo, bad water pump etc etc... anyway, let them take a look at it or if you want well take a look at it and tell u whats up

sarz: if the diff in prices for small stuff isnt much i wouldnt mind buyind from the dealer but at the mo i dont mind repairing it with tijari stuff as im just gonna find out how she runs after this full service, if all the lil glitches r gone and im happy ill put more heart into it :D

it seemed dumped for quite a while ill see how it runs today after the steering alignment and wheel balancing

Dude, just take you car for a tune up, Lat3awer rasik, take is to a professional garage, alot of ppl take their cars to Hussain Muhandis for tune ups and he does that pretty well.

try and change anything u can change now, oil all around, spark plugs and wires, filters all around, flush the radiator, change the thermostat.

just the normal stuff, so u can be sure about all that stuff.

Dude, lat3awir rasik with tijari stuff, go for OEM or performance, Im not saying all that stuff is bad, but dont decide, take it to a pro as I said before and let him decide, just so u dont spend ur money twice.

you know what, when the temp goes up, it doesnt matter if your in the middle of a bloody highway full of busy cars going up and down, YOU SHUT THAT CAR DOWN before you damage your engine :D

as long as it didnt hit the red you could be more or less fine
