How often do you clean your air filter?

how often should i clean my air filter? each month? each 2 months?
depends on the weather..? etc

I havent cleaned mine yet since i got on 25th of may..

And is it noticable to know that it needs to be cleaned or ..?

what kind is it? K&N filters dont need to be cleaned for months.... actually the dirt build up in K&N filters give more performance :D
