Lexus LF-S: For the first time, Toyota will set aside a separate section of its Tokyo stand for Lexus, ahead of Lexus' 2005 launch in Japan. Two Lexus concepts aim to whet Japanese consumers' appetites and assert that Lexus will be more than rebadged versions of Toyota cars already on sale here.
The LF-S, for Lexus Future-Sedan, uses what Lexus designers call "shadow surfacing" to add texture to the car's clean lines. Toyota is being coy about what's under the car's transparent roof but admits that the V-6 engine will be part of a hybrid drivetrain.
