Guys, i need some urgent help here. I just got a wireless router. I cant access it through my laptop, but my cousin can. I have used the wireless on my laptop at friends houses and at coffee shops, but it wont let me connect onto this router. Ive tried installing the CD for it, but to no avail.
Can someone please help me with a soloution for this dilema, i would be most greatful.
Regards, Salman

There are three types of wireless band 802.11 (a / b/ g ) i think your laptop does't support one of them

in other words your laptop & the router should be on the same band

Wireless is soo much better, two of our computers are on wireless, much faster than a wired connection

that's not physically possible..

Wired is 100 or 1000mbps...

an Ideal wireless is 54mbps..

Physically is diff from actuality, i admit that it is faster wired, but it gets a better response when i use the pc with wireless access than the on on the wired network

Telewest. Because we arent with BT phoneline, it would cost 120 quid to get BT. But since we already have a Telewest cable running through the house, just got the line re-connected and got the broadband, and they gave me free digital tv along with it. And the best part is, its unlimited usage :)
