alla ye7fe'9na men el 7awadeth. A nissan sunny hit me from the rear left side (me driving a cherokee) and it got written off. It was unrecognisable from the font lol. Me, only busted tailgate and broken rear left light, and a new bumper :D

80 and onwards they have the recycled steel but pre 80 has one hell of strength
Ask me I still have the 1979 Caprice in my yard it was driving an armor car.

There is a Persian quote saying "chize giron bi hekmat nis wa chize arzon bi elat nis"
Translation: il shay il '3ali akid fih 7ekma wa il shay il re5i9 akid fih 3ela
so dont get 2 excited when you drive a civic because its not safe thats why its cheap. :p

okay thats nothing compared to our cheap a$$ cars now!
check out this altima .. got bumped in the right side of the bumper before yesterday in uni and even the cross bumper was off the car!!

this is the car that made the accident
http://www.gulfgt.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=5906&stc=1&d=1162500828
watch carefully .. the car did not even damage the side of the accident , the right side of the car was damaged by hitting another car in the parking!!!
PUUUUUUUURE cheap a$$ cars!

That would also apply to American cars right? For its performance level a Vette is cheap... very cheap... could that be coz its unsafe and built poorly? (Not trying to start stuff over here guys so dont get me wrong... just an innocent question)..

yes, its unsafe.
a guy i know did a silly accident and his vette got more damage than the other car which was an old corola
he was driving 40's as he says and the things which got damaged in his car were " the hood, finders, front bumper, airbags" and madri shino ba3ad

I have a feeling we may know the same person - is it a convert. C5? He had to wait for months and months till he got it back coz the other guy didnt have insurance?

^^ LOL
yes, the other car was insured by the Iranian insurance and they told him we'll cancel ur car or give you i dunno how much "low price" so he took the money and added some from his pocket to repair the car and it really took a long time..

The body tried to absorb the impact rather than resist it. Its built to be light, so its the only way the car could have kept him safe.
unlike a caprice, who's structure is made of rail tracks lol
