These cars have a top rating in side-, front- and rear-impact tests by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety, U.S.A .

And the cars are as follows :-

1. Acura RDX

2. Audi A4

3. Audi A6

4. Honda CR-V

5. Honda Pilot

6. Hyundai Entourage

7. KIA Sedona

8. Mercedes-Benz M-Class

9. Saab 9-3

10. Subaru B9 Tribeca

11. Subaru Forester

12. Subaru Legacy

13. Volvo XC90

Im actually surprised not see any BMWs, Lexus, Toyota or Nissans.

But you know what, KIA beat them all

And let the hating; begin :)

i'm surprised not to see any Renault in the list. in the past couple of years they had some of the safest rated cars in their lineup

ops.....its a USA rating....and no Renaults in US:pat:
a European rating would be totally different.

speaking of which, do we have some kind of Middle-East or GCC car safety rating classification?

In the Middle East? Safest car is an 80's Caprice, and weakest car is Matiz :pow:

i like da matiz....i remeber once back in oman we were 6 in a matiz going at 90 per hour all of a sudden a roundabout came out of nowhere and the driver(my friend)hit the breaks and it did slide and hit the roundabout and fall on it's side...none of us was really hurt only a few scratches and some nose blood here and there the side view mirror was broken ofcorsethe door handle, the side window was full of cracks.........it was nice:tome:
