Well, I had a thought lately of doing some business through the internet.

I always wanted to be an engineer! a mechanical one! while I was searching for good universities in the UK I found this interesting major to study, which was IT and math.

Establish a website, teach people through internet and get paid :D

i do make money over the internet. i submit a bunch of the sites my brother and i ahve created to google adsense and amazon.co.uk and we get quite a bit . i made enough this year to pay for my GFX card and the processor for my new pc and on top of that to buy quite a bit of rare collectible dvd sets.

You just need the time and patience of setting up and you can easily earn a bit on the side

I already have a bunch of websites up anyway... one is a shopping website, its corny but american people seem to like it; i make around $200 a month or so from it... another one is information on starting online businesses, thats about another $100 or so a month.

Thani shay, I was making pretty damn good money in Bahrain, and i DIDNT spend most of it on servicing my BMW and had to sell it because I couldnt afford the service anymore. Thaleth shay, I don't need to validate how much I have with people like you! And finally, this thread is about ideas, not about how much you, me, or anyone else has! So if you have no useful contribution to add, I suggest you go to your clothes wardrobe, open it, take a pair of socks, and put it in your mouth because I dont see how you can keep your mouth closed otherwise.

the amazon thing slowed down, cos nowadays theyre rejecting a lot of the sites, and some they just arent paying. You earn amazon credits worth 5 pounds every month from those. So its only valid to be used from the amazon site, and they wont ship to you. So any stuff we bought, we had to get shipped form there via a friend

heres the deal with affiliate marketing; you need visitors. i mean you can have up a page full of links and stuff, but theres no point if no visitors come to your site. so you need to generate some sort of interesting content to get people to come to your page. some people have videos on their sites, some have reviews of products, bla bla... if youre good at graphic design, you can use that in some way; offer graphic design services so you make money out of both that and your adverts, or just offer images for people to download...

those are both my sites.

no amazon is not better than google; theyre two different things. you sell products through amazon on your site and get a commission. with google, you put adverts on your site, and you get a small commission whenever someone click on them. you see which one works best for you

Truth is adool, outside the US and canada, most surveys wont work. and the paid email doesnt make that much.

i would suggest you look at the other things like setting up your own webpage and getting affiliate links etc. that way you can make some good money out of it

4ced, thats not how we do it. amazon.co.uk set up something new last year, one banner gives you 5 pounds monthly regardless of the content as long as it is accepted by them.

The one youre talking about is i think US amazon, and that takes more work

all of them have similar options. but think of it this way, if you post a banner and get 5 pounds a month, thats hardly even worth it. with the amazon product links, you just search the product you want and amazon creates the link for you. you just post the HTML on your site, and anytime someone clicks on it and buys that product, you automatically get between 4-7% depending on how many sales you have that month. you can also add a search box or whatever else. if you have a pretty popular site then youll get a lot of visitors, and a high probability of people buying odd items here and there from your site. thats good money.

i launched my shopping site specifically for christmas and so far within the last 3 weeks its made about $200. the next 2 or 3 weeks before chrismtas im expecting a boom as people go into the rush to buy last minute gifts, so im hoping for a few hundered more in commissions.
