hey guys i was getting a bit bored tonight so i decided to do something that Black Z suggested a while back, i.e a tutorial thread...
well for this first tutorial i decided to go with modyfying my own car (a chevy Epica heheheh  except mine is in a sky gray color) in photoshop. i've followed some really simple procedures and have come up with what i hope is a good result in your eyes.. (tho its still nothing compared to what DSR can do coz mashallah he is :bigok: )
the entire tutorial consists of around 12 pics detailing certain procedures that i've followed (now these procedures might make a hardcore pshp user want to kill me hehehe but i find that they are some of the easiest way of getting around in pshp :))
first up is the original image i've started with a very easy to work with, its a black car on white background (easy coz errors are easy to patch up as well as hide, as u will definately see ;))

step 2:-
now here all u have to do is use the free hand selection tool and go around the edge of the car as u can see it doesnt really matter on the top side but in the bottom its best if u follw the contours as best as possible.
once selected u have t use the "free transform" tool its a very easy to use and at the same time a really powerful tool, i used it to lower and tilt the car body a bit.
NOTE:now u notice i really didnt pay alot of attention around the rims, this is the beauty of a black car even after moving when the background is seen u can just cover up the error using the clone brush or the regular brush

Step 2b:-
here u can see the car lowered and tilted after the use of the free transform tool

Step 3:-
fixing errors caused by the free transform tool, here i just used a size 1 to 5 brush with max opacity of 25% and went along the white portion left by step 2.
(i used the eye drrpper tool to get the appropriate color)

Step 4:-
here i have begun to kinda create a bodykit for the car its a really simle way allu have to do is select a portion of the bumper (its best to select the portion as i did and then just easily move it lower).

step 4:- (continued)
here u see the same procedure repeated for the side skirts and rear bumper...
for the side skirts and the rear i had to elongate the selection i did this by simply cutting the selection into 2 peices and then filling the gap using the clone tool...

Step 5:-
in this step i have filled in the gaps u see in step 4 again this was done simply by using the clone tool..
also in this step i have added a lip to the front bumper this was done using the free hand selection tool (its really easy to do and shoud not be hard)..

Step 6:-
in this step i added the rear spoiler, all i did is find a pic of a wing (in my case i had to flip it horizontaly to match the orientation of the car)
then it just a matter of selecting the outer edge with the free hand selection tool and then copying the selection into our main image, and then finally use the free transform tool to scale down and orient the wing on the car as we desire.

Step 7:-
here the wheels are added it is almost the same procedure as the wing so i wont go into more detail about it....

Step 7:- (completed)
here its just the car with both rims on

youre welcome Striker :) andd thank you for reading ...
Step 8:- (the all important tinted windows  )
for this step i suggest creating a new layer it saves u alot of headaches..
now all u have to do is select the area covered by the windows using the free hand selection tool (dont worry if u go outside the edges, it will actually give u a nice bevelling effect in the end)
then all u do is select the paint bucket--> set tolerance to 200 --> then opacity to 12% and finally the mode should be set to overlay then its just a matter of clicking about 4 to 5 times in the selcted areas.

well thats it u finally have your end product and its just a matter of finding those small errors and correcting them... hehehehe
EDIT:- in step 3 i forgot to mention that the orignal tires were enlarged, it was done using the elipse selection tool (u can fit the elipse selection very easily if u use the selection transform option).
then once again u use the free transform tool to enlarge the wheels.
well thats it for know just remeber that in photoshop your best friends are free hand selection and free transform tools :tougne:.
blur tool is useful but in most cases it does more harm than good.
and heres the final product:-
