Washington - Airport security personnel in the US will soon be able to see passengers stark naked without their having to remove clothes, through a new X-ray machine that has generated much controversy. The agency in charge of the nation's air security expects to begin using later this year the controversial X-ray machine that will show airport screeners a clear picture of what's under passengers' clothes, whether weapons or just bare skin, according to USA Today. The refrigerator-sized new machines, considered a breakthrough in scanning technology, have been labelled "a virtual strip" by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). But according to transportation security administration (TSA), the new system makes it easy to see possibly dangerous devices.
According to American science and engineering (ASE), the machines costing $100,000 bounce low-radiation X-rays off a person's skin to produce photo-like computer images of metal, plastic and organic materials hidden under clothes. "Backscatter" technology has been waiting on the sidelines for nearly 4 years but seems poised now to move to the forefront of aviation security. The machines are already used by US customs agents at 12 airports to screen passengers suspected of carrying drugs. They are also getting a test run at a terminal in London's Heathrow airport, the first major airport to use them.

I am more than happy to strip naked for them, rather than them wanting to see my pen0r through an X-ray machine. All they have to do is ask, and say please, and i will be ba7rani brownŽ butt naked standing there for them.
The only reason i am flying back home a day late, is because i want to avoid changing planes in Frankfurt, which always results into me standing there at the security check-in only in my underwear :duh: they dont even let me keep my socks on.
Some day, they will standerdise sticking their fingers up our rectums in search of drugs!

First of all with the newest tech system they use you wont be as they say stark naked. More like a syloette(sp?). We as americans must understand that the pre 911 days are over. Were going to have to sacrafice a little to get alot more security. What it comes down down to is if you have nothing to hide then dont be scared. If youre shy then grow up and welcome to what other countries have been fearing for ages.

What if for some odd reason you had a stiffy as you were queing up to get in line. What are you going to do? Get out of the line, and go stand in the back and wait for ur stiffy to go away? They would only suspect you of trying to do something.
And dont you think women would also be embaressed to walk into a device, if they are wearing sanitary towels or were using tampons?

First of all why would you have a stiffy in line? What man cant cotrol himself like a adult? That's not the best example, futhermore like I said above it wouldnt show a clear picture of your woody anyways. Ive worked with the original system and Im seen the second at work. I can understand why people feered the first setup. It was a perverts dream. It's still in use but I wont say where. Also why should a woman be scared if she is during her cycle? its natrual.

Meh. What country are we reffering to here. Every country has thier arguments on that paticuler issue. If you have propper cause by all means tap my phone but you better have all your ducks in a row or fear being sued.

In my sitation, they dont really care. They are "protecting" the citizens by tapping fones to spy on "terrorists". Im in the UK. Dont care if they did or didnt, not like i care anyways. I dont watch what i say on the fone, because i believe in freedom of speech. Except when your calling Bahrain, you have to make sure you dont hit the sensitive chords, or they will make you sit on the bottle, and a trip behind the sun will follow :laf:
Remember Ray, your in Bahrain, you plan on sueing the government for tapping your phone line?

I dont care what country you are in and wether your phone is tapped or not, the basic rule applies.. if your obey the laws and are not a threat to the country's security then you should have no worries.
I've been to many places and to many airports, not once have i been harrassed by anyone.. be honest to the officials and to yourself and you will go through with no problems.
Yes, i would be conscerned about this naked-xray machine thing, but i assume that if it was to be implemented, a woman would run the machine for women, and men would run the machine for men.. it will be done professionally im sure.
ex: in bahrain women are patted down in a private booth by women.. theres nothing is wrong with that.
And yes, in bahrain or the states, if the official abuses his position you can complain and you can sue.

The person viewing you on the machine is actually nowhere near you. I believe he's 30 feet away.
It's random so chances are you wont even have to use it.
I'm sure in every country women a pat down by only women.
