it should be fine, ppl have installed 18'' wheels on stock sedans and nothing happens, will, except for the 4x4 mod haha.

I have one incidence with a policeman one morning stopped me in my 87 caprice
With 10” in the back and had a long argument with him if the big wheels will effect the safety and drivability of the car!!!!!
At the end he was out of facts so he set an example
This is what he said
If you drive in the market and a lady pass by her dress (dafah) my get tangled in your wheels that will not be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was about to laugh in his face but I was late for work so I just took the dam ticket.

you will be fine no problems, just make sure you get wheel alignment, and dont hit any big bumps

it depends on the car , my friends 300M has 20" rims , but orignal set (cost him 1600 bd with the tires ! ) it was made light , to prevent the engine from the heavy load in start

i have one advise additional to the guyz , try not to floor it too much from a dig start , try to do it with a flow :)

technically it depends many cars get their drums, shocks etc effected when replacing their original rims specially when the wheel off-set is completely different but this happens on a long run talking about 10 years +

be wise and always get good and branded products specially lowering springs and shocks

good luck

I have a bit of vibration by the time I installed the 17" on my car , cause its not an original made "zeena rims" for the looks its fine and now its a year and 3 months .. no problems at all else than the car being a bit more hard on bumps :up2:

With my experince as long as the car is of good quality should face no problems only likely problems would be
Wheel rubbing the arches on full wheel lock if you have small arches and you will notice a differnce in ride quality cause you are taking up the space with metal and leaving as much room for the rubber so of course you will feel the bumps abit more but with 18's it shouldnt really be that noticeable only when you start dealing with 20" and upwards and really low pros
just make sure the new rims arnt wider than orginal and you have all the clearences

that's the space between two diagonal lugs, that's if u have 4 lugs.. if u have 5 lugs, then it will be the space between the top and the two at the bottom.

the measurement has to be taken from the center of each lug.

get a small ruler..

hope it helps...

If I were you, I'd keep the rims for later, and spend the money on mods. But if that's your plan, then keep us posted..
