Fishing Spots in Bahrain

well, i know im not gonna get alot of replies but,

i made this thread for us fishing fanatics to share good shoreline fishing spots here in bahrain.

i know most fishers wont share a good fishing spot. but, it will be nice to find out other places and the types of fish you caught there.

here are some of mine.

1. Khalifa Port, next to the dry dock where they just finished the burial (Gurgufan, Chim, Naysar, Balool, Dwailmy, She3ri, Yanam, sbaitee and the occasional Barraceuda's or Jidd as we call them here)

2. Next to elite Grande, seef area kinda hard to explain (alot of shore fish, gurgufan, yanam, wa7ar and small she3ri's) be prepared to catch a huge number.. we usually take a cooler or 2 and leave when theyre full

3. New busaiteen, behind the busaiteen petrol startio, kinda hard to explain as well. (huge She3ri's, hammour, Jidd, 7agool, and alot of oversized shore fish) this place is a personal favourite and you gotta go when its a low tide, unlike the other places.

i started with the "ghetto string".. but u soon learn that rods are better for fishing on the shore, less chance for the hook to get stuck!!

we went there.. went to the Jetti as well.. it was raining and we caught 3 HUGE baracceuda's almost as tall as my short friend ahha.. and one sword fish (7agool) they like the place, it has good lighting and their attracted to the light, some small misc fish as well.. (naysar, gurgufan.. which are everywhere.. small she3ri's.. and a couple of yanams) but.. we threw big bates (squid head) with very thick grade string, so we were aiming for the big ones.

walla since u guys brought this up I would like to share with you the best fishing spots at the Pink Palace(a.k.a Gulf Air Headquarters)

-Wing A Gate: Caucasians, East and West Asians, Middle-Easterns, you name it
-Cabin Crew School: fresh meat all over the place.
-Safety School: same as above
-Customer Services: for a more local flavor.

good old memories of shoreline fishing.. u guys still up for the fishing meet?? i recently got me a 27 foot fishing boat.. so, if there are any serious fishermen here on GGT.. we can go on a fishing trip.. somewhere close, were the fish dont stop biting hahaha... shemal fasht il deebel is a great spot, shtaya, bul5areb, bulthaama, bus3afa.. or, we can go late night/early morning fishing and trolling along the channel next the bapco and GPIC.. a personal favourite here!

whos up for it?? ive been trying to take basharo.. but, everytime i take him the weather gets ****ed up ahaha

khalifa port.. u cant go there by car anymore.. its a nice place to dive, or u can go casting instead of 7adaag.. or (lefaa7) using a fishing rod. its like a huge long concrete pier, so.. alot of small fish gather there, just throw ur line with your lure (the artificial fish.. get one from fur'9at muharraq that dives 2 meters, preferably a redhead which has a white body with a red head) and bring it back, when u bring the fish back.. it dives and mimics the movements of a real fish.. keep doing that.. its called casting, and u usually get some good fish with it.

directions to go there.. share5 il 5o'9 ilee ichaykoon 3aleih.. go straight till it ends, then.. u need to go ba3ad straight.. there's a gate with a guard, if u can pass him.. just keep the shore to ur left.. until u reach the end. but.. go when theres light, coz lefaa7 doesnt work at night.

as for elite grande, the place is dead now!!

i went to bulthama last weekend.. we got raped by the sea ya5y!! ga9aitaw 3aleina.. iftar hawa 25 kt oo e7na ray7een shemaal! we had to go deebel and anchor there till morning!

its a 27 footer durazi 2005 body, with 2 yamaha 115 2004 motors. puts down 40 knots.. which is more than ill ever need. and a 200 liter inboard fuel tank.. all the gauges and hydraulic steering and tremps... if u know about boats.. tell me cham yeswa :)

Well, I got a yamaha engine on my lexus now too !
and trust me, I've seen them(jz series) hit the bearing way more than any other series

what do you think of this idea. fishing pond, since no freash water or something like that next to a beach. SO, you buy the fish and throw them depending on you and ppl that like fish , close to your area and hire the place for an entrance of bd for people to catch just for fish, no swiming is allowed and just catch untill the time passes. Big fish eat little fish
