Dude, the SXT is now BD10500! i would love the SXT (Sinroof, leather seats,Mp3 ) but 10500 is way over my budget. The SE is BD8800!
Bd8400 from Zayani or Behbahani?

Yep, and i saw a pregnant woman there who paid a deposit for the ORANGE MANUAL LUMINA SS.. i was like WTF? she was talking saying it was her second car coz her sister cancelled her 2005 SS and she loves the new one and wants it manual.
And its BD12500.:mumble:
The cheapest one on the shop floor there was BD9700 :mumble: for i think the LTZ. I perfer the shape of the Charger though. :eatout:

Well i spoke to alot of people and do you know that car prices will go higher?
The problems with Iran threatening to close the gateway has caused the price of shipping to increase. I spoke to a few people who confirmed it, so expect than new cars which have not arrived yet to be higher in value when they do as they say that cost of shipping has doubled.
Second, do you actually think im going to pay the displayed price of BD8800?
I know a few people there who will give me great deals on the car, but first i need to get the full price so when i go to them, they can give me a proper discount. The guy will check the cost of the service package plus extended warranty in quote me tomorrow. After i get the quote then i can speak, that way i get a discount on the whole thing.
3.5 - V6, the Lumina is BD9700 dude

I would say, buy a Toyota instead. Fuel economy, the range of parts available for it, Toyota reliability, and a great dealer. And would probably even cost you less to buy, and insure as well.

Ali, I use to work for Chrysler, I saw allthe problems, the after sales support and the way the managment treats the customers.

so what would I do now??

I wouldn't even rent a chrysler, hahah.

see, the V6 is rubish and not realible at all.
the V8 is very smoth, bad elictronics, bad tranny.

BUT, you have a 5 year warranty, 3 years service package, if your going to sell or change the car in 4 years, i recomend it, and I will go with you to the dealer and try to squeez the best deal out of them, shtaby ba3ad?

ok lets slow down :)

i said that i don't recommend V6 because it's a heavy weight car "1800+ kg" and the engine has 250 HP and it's RWD !!

the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is less than 10 seconds , but in high speeds it's slow

-

the brakes are not good for track driving :D as i drive daily , but for normal driving it's good , maybe you should push the pedal harder than other JDM cars , but its good.

the good things : comfort , stability , space inside , saftey

8800 BD for a big comfy sedan is worth it

well i'm biased in this... so i say go for it, i've walked around Behbehani service center and saw all the issues yes their are a few serious issues and some minor issues but every car has this (yes even the mighty toyota lol).

all in all i've driven all models except the SRT and can tell you that i had a blast in each, interior is not jaw dropping but not as bad as some make it out to be (you can buy the aluminium trim for the SE that would set it off) ... performance wise it moves from a roll but remeber this is a nearly 2 ton car so u cant compare it to the likes of the 3.5 Altima.

like i said i'd take it in a heart beat :), but thats just me :D.

but hey you can always follow the herd and get a corolla!!!

well i think that would be very hard to find a 2nd hand one, i havent seen any R/T's for sale in a long time the last one i remeber being sold was about 6 months ago, black R/T with road and track package and it went for more than 12K iirc i think it had 5-6000 Km's on it.

dunno about any others for sale or people willing to sell atm coz i looked and didnt find any...

I would say stay well away from anything American. Including the new chargers. Very poor quality build, and theyre not fast either - So its kinda a lose-lose situation.

If you need a daily driver - why not dish out a bit extra for a nice Lexus GS or IS. Great Aircon for Bahrain, great performance, luxury and excellent technology. Can't go wrong. I would say either stick to JDM for the cheaper in price cars and better service. Or go for a Euro car thats got all of the above but maybe a little higher price tag. But why anyone should resort to buying an American car is beyond me (unless its a Classic of course!)

Well i want a new car, and you guyz are ranting and raving over 8800BDs. I have been to the showroom again today, test drove the car, haggled the price and got him down BD8500 with 5 year warranty.
I dont like Toyota's really i know its a good car but nah.
I have BD4400 cash and the rest is with the bank, if you dont know, im also planning a bike in early 2008 and i have cash for that as well. I dont want too many expenses on me. The Charger for 3yrs installment is BD155 maybe a lil less which is okay for me.
the lesser the price is okay for me!

Ninja, im also buying a full option Honda Civic (the white one) for 7049.000 with 5 year warranty for the house, but im not paying for that one. Thats why i was there today.

I dont know but i really like the look of the charger and i feel the price is rite for me.

If you have your heart set on that car bro, buy it. A 5 year warranty, is very good. And 3 years free service is also great. But check what does the warranty include? And what would the free service include as well? Just oil and filter changes? Or brake pads?

I appreciate all your feed-back, and i would like some of the cars that you guyz mentioned, but like i said, i myself do like the car, shape wise. And i dont want a 4 cylinder car, i was at least a V6. There is no perfect agent, well not in Bahrain anyway and most cars do come with flaws.
I did speak to the guy regarding the warranty thing and it includes the engine/tranny and ECU for 5 years. I told him, that i will recieve the car with the hood closed and i wont open it for 5 years. whatever happens underneath the hood for 5 years is there responsiblity he said yeah, i said i want it in writing, he said okay.
The Brakes, i didnt ask but he said they are not included in the warranty as all other dealers dont give that. what is wrong with the brakes? What complaints do people have?

BM, bro about the brakes they are good quite frankly but there were a few issues with vibration due to rotors warping and this is covered under warranty... but at the same time in the 4 chargers i've driven (2 se's, SXT and RT) none had it and that was even at applying the brakes at high speed (160+).

BM, it seems you like the car and are happy with it so it shouldnt matter what anyone says as long as you are satisfied.. personally i heard all the same things most are telling you now but seriously none mattered coz i'm happy with my choice, so go for it if your happy with the car :).
