I had enough of BATELCO SERIOSLY!

This morning I woke up and I had an sms from Batelco saying that I have reached 75% of my threshold...

fair enough I know my account refills every 11th of each month and today is 8th, but when I went online and saw my account it was Zero!?!?!?!?! the ****ing sms said I reach 75% not 100%???

my speed is down to 128/128... knowing that I have paid the phone bill and internet package BD40 last week...even before they bill me anything I always pay in advance.

I called them they said we don't refill your account once you pay we wait till 11th of each month...I said fine but the sms I got was this morning saying I reached 75% of my account not the whole thing!!!! he said sometimes we take out the extra remaining MBs left to renew your account on 15GB on the 11th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF WTF WTF

what kinda stupid idiotic orginization their running!??!?!?!!?

sorry buddy, two weeks ago me and tag tested this offer at Seef Mall and honestly I did not feel any diffrenece in speed niether on downloading..

I downloaded AVG from download.com the download was 120KBPS....

Truth is guys, all countries give you downloads with threshholds, its the only way they can keep a cap on the amount of supply their offering. Its not usually mentioned but if you read the fine print, i'm sure you can find it.

Back in boston I was paying a total of approx 35bd a month, but that was for my phone line with unlimited local and long distance calls... As well as full cable TV with some premium channels (no i dont mean porn), and an internet connection of 100mbps... yup, 100mbps... Anyway I still had a threshhold...

The MTC offer is reasonable if youre not expecting to download like crazy. Its good for those who check their email every now and then, browse around, watch a few clips etc... When you do exceed their threshhold, it starts getting pretty damn expensive (equivalent to an extra 10bd per GB). The problem with their package is, unlike batelco, you dont get the option of unlimited use and slowed down speed... You get the same speed but get charged for it, so essentially theres no real cap on how high your bill can go...

2connect are about to release a residential service, and hopefully that will promote batelco to change their broadband packages. again, the only positive changes weve seen coming out of batelco is when a competitor launches a similar product. they then start competing pretty damn aggresively. hey, the next few months will show it

It is unlimited here in the UK. Some give you limited usage to 40GD or so, but most give you unlimited. My connection is unlimited, and downloading like crazy day and night. The bill has always been the same every month. If it says unlimited in the advert, then it must be. Because if they do limit it, you can sue them :) they cannot even change it to limited through your term contract, because you had agreed to an unlimited usage connection when you signed the contract.

Batelco is playing with words when it comes to adverts, they say its 'unlimited' upto 1mb/s....well technically they are providing you whatever they promised in their ad, as you get an unlimited ADSL line but speeds maybe lower but still upto 1mb/s..really hate it when they actually do that.
