New car ... what to get??

inshallah after selling my lumina .. i wanna get a daily driving car off the shelf. i was thinking of the IS300, G35 Sedan, or C-Class.


i would like to hear everyone's opinion and input on this. y3ni if u were me what would u buy and why? or why not? and what would u rather get?

Lexus IS300...

nice car, neat, nice handling, acceleration is very good.. i have this car since 4months now, but i'm sure BlackIS can contribute more from his experience.

and i can describe the IS in few words.. "Whatever comfort you find in big luxury cars, you can find it in this IS as a compact version".

I would take the G35 looks much prettier, faster, u don't see it and won't see it everywhere u go chinha corolla got some nice options and of course good handling car, my 2nd choice would be the IS cause the new merc c class looks ugly from the back but ba3ad if u r going for the full option one then go for the merc :D

I'm gonna go off the limb by voting for the C-class

I admit I was not much of a fan of the last C-class maybe coz of the quality issues and looks (couldn't get past those headlights and the round body)

atleast this car will have a huge community like the previous model (check out the MBWORLD.ORG forums and see for yourself)

besides the IS300 and G35 are all over the country but I guess anyone who can pay 250bd can buy either of these cars

u like to mod :naughty: .. so G35 is the choice

PS. The C-Class looks like a mini caprice royale from the front and has the 3 series bodylines and from the back its just a honda City!!

from those cars i'd say really depends on your size,
TBH i found both the IS and G35 to be extremley cramped on the inside and to be remotley comfortable meant that i could only seat an infant in the back. yes they maybe luxurious and rear wheel drive but imo alot has been sacrificed in terms of size.
But bro have you considered the avalon or aurion? you can save a couple of dinars and still end up with a nice comfortable ride.

Just to correct something here... this is IS 250 specs.. we have IS300. in the whole world there is no 2007 IS 300 but only for the GCC and Mid-east.

So, the one we have here has the GS300 engine which is 3.0L 227HP, i don't remember the rest of the specs, but u can get it from the agency..

then the G35 , i think it's the best choice why ? engine , interior design , stability , comfort , better legroom than the IS and better for mods , the IS300 mods are too light , but the G35 has the same engine the whole world does have , the same body, and there is a lLOT of mods there

IS is too small , too tight for rear passengers , and the engine is weak (comparing to the G35)

i kinda agree with u .. only disagree on a couple of things

1- the C-Class's gadgets are less than the IS and G35, so im see'ing a better chance in those Japs :p
2- the IS's interior looks better than the G35.. i've been in BlackIS's IS300 and its awsome, if only it had a screen like TAG's :p

Either way... here's my advice take it or leave it.

The IS300 is a girl's car. You may as well get a VW Beetle.
The C-Class is a joke - too expensive for such a crappy car. Plus its ugly as heck (a little less ugly than the E90 3-series 4door tho)

G35 NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Refined, Elegant, Sporty, and Beautiful - everything you would like in a woman and your car.

The GS35 for uniqueness, styling, engine, reliability, and luxury. The C-class is a piece of crap, too small, all plastic, and looks horrible.

The IS is nice looking, shape wise, and looks amazing with some mild exteriors modifications.

But the G35 has one of the best looking rear ends of any car ever made! Not to mention you can get TT kits for it as well!

I go for the G35 all the way, as i have always loved the car ever since it was made. The C-class is a piece of sh1t, always has been, and always will be. I have also driven the previous shape, and its rubbish. You cannot even feel the tires on the freaking road! The wheel turns like your driving in water! WTF??? Its too small! It looks gay on the inside! The new ones don't look any better, it looks like it was made from rejected interior bits from the quality control section.

And the sound system in Infinity is far more superior as well.

G35 without second thoughts, or maybe, just maybe, wait and they might make it with a bigger engine?
