ok guys, the forums been a little dead recently. sure, we have the regular posters who come in every now and then, but overall, gulfgt has seen better days. it used to be guys from all over, and we had a bunch of girls on too, but now no one checks in (busa's post also got me thinkin, where did everyone go?)

so, we need some stuff to get ggt back in the limelight. any ideas?! how do we bring more people (and preferably more chicks, since ive gone through all the ones we have here). no no im just kidding. seriously, any ideas?

a new fresh design, add more options/tools/activities within the forum.

by activities i mean, like posting a question every week about something, and members get to answer it (posting their own ideas/information or getting from the web), then most of the members will get an accurate answer, they all gonna benefit from that.

some other activity maybe in the designing section, someone has to be responsible for that section and posting requests between now and then for members to discuss/work on.

of course, many members got lots of ideas ..

another thing i would like to add, we got many event goers, some of them got cameras, they shud be assigned for taking photos and posting them here.

open a section for modifications, where members can post any mods they came across. e.g. Wheels that will fit Hondas (type of civics, integras, ludes,etc), same with Nissan, Lexus, and all other brands.. exhaust systems, headers, suspensions, etc, etc...

edit: one more thing about the Classifieds section.. 2 or 3 members can be assigned to post weekly new classifieds. from where?? well, they can get those informations from Alwaseet or any other classifieds mag.

True but it happens. On a board this small a topic can be done and concluded with 10 informative post. Notice that almost every thread with more than one page went off topic at least a couple of times? As you get more members and the board becomes bigger then yes you'll have to keep the threads on track but right now we are not at this point. I'm only sharing this opinion because Ive been a part of many forums young and old, big and small and this has always been a issue. In conclusion, I think drifting off topic should be allowed as long as one doesn't go completely off topic. Just my 200fills

It's because new timers never tend to come over to the meets oo basically we don't have any meets anymore.

Everyone got married and soon enough they'll be expecting kids. So, there will be no more old timers or anyone.

Something needs to be done. Bahrainspeed organizes car shows and they charge them as well and they win as well.

Why can't we organize a GulfGt car show...I'm pretty sure a lot of people will show up. Just like Play Day, where it wasn't official bas chethe 6ag6ega.....What about a bit seriousness in the matter? I know for a fact that the BIC can once again be filled up with cars. I can respect that but even if you were the only girl, who cares? A local forum should be like a family. Some families have alot of sons and one daughter. Doesn't mean she cant hang out with her bro's. Just seems retarded. In the states you have alot of hangouts. sometimes there may only be one girl, sometimes many. As long as she's with the group she's just a car enthusiast and nothing more, just like everyone else. Maybe once one girl comes more will and then we can share our passion for cool cars and cool people together. Maybe in a couple of years for Bahrain. Ugh. No need for a "womans section" anything. That just adds to what's wrong with this place. If there is something you don't understand then ask. That's the only way you will learn. I ask questions all the time on forums despite what it makes me look like. As long as I learn something I win. If you're worried about garages ripping you off then learn more about the problem and solution before taking it to them. The more they see you know the less they can play games with you. It's not just women that get screwed by these crooked garages. Imagine being American. It's 50x's worst. Also only go to recommended garages. I got ripped a couple of times but I learned a huge lesson each time.
