When is EID?

I saw some people asking in several threads when is eid so I thought of uploading this, here is something which my dad made for his colleagues.

I dont know based on what did he say friday is going to be eid..
on friday the moon sets before the sun by 4 mins so there is no bloody chance 2 see the moon.:bsflag:

Look here, at the time, and the moon is yet in its overlap, so it has yet to begin its new cycle. So, how can Eid be declared for it? I really cannot understand!

scientists in the west discovered galaxies billions of miles away, and we cant even agree on the moon phase. Their are mathematical equations for these things now. for how long do we have to depend on the naked eye?

I have no problem with that man, but it is a bit ironic to depend on a country's declaration, since sometimes, KSA has it different than Egypt for an example, so it will be +2 days or what??

She was just poking fun, as the Shia have always been one day later than the Sunni, because KSA runs the Sunni calendar.

As for my map, you see the moon on the 12th at night, after the evening prayer. That is why 13 will be Eid. You haven't seen it on the 11th to declare the next day as Eid.
