moved thread to the proper location .. .

many skyline owners here .. they will surely help u .. one thing i am hundred percent sure is that the traffic departments are very strict when it comes to a skyline specially if its exported

good luck

As far as i know and what i was told, SKYLINES are being impounded and thier number plates black listed, I also heard that the Bahrain Traffic department take your car across the saudi causeway and tell you take the car out so you cant bring it back.
That is why you dont see any skylines on the street anymore, if they catch you in it, its bye bye car so everyone is hiding.
Reason is that it has UAE plates and speed camera's and traffic light offenses cannot be given cause they dont know who is driving it in Bahrain.
They WONT register it cause its converted and they wont allow you to drive it now.
There is no real LAW i guess some1 just decided he didnt want Skylines in Bahrain.
I feel sorry for alot of people who took loans and spend huge amounts on their Skylines and now they either cant drive it or are afraid to.
Sucks..

if u buy this car, u will never be able to drive it on the road with a sound piece of mind.. u can get pulled over and impounded any time.. and since u technically don't own the car either.. it's a right pain in the a$$ to get it out..

you will never be able to make it bahraini plates either, due to the fact they have converted steering columns/dashboards...

U can use it for offroad use only.... which seems pretty useless on a 200hp GTS

as for your mustang... it depends on who's name the car is under..

if it's under ur dads name.. send him the paperwork.. have him sign it and send it back..

If the Mustang is in your fathers name then yes, your dad has to be here to sign

if you want a skyline, get it from Saudi Arabia (if it is possible for you) and keep it registered under your name..

all you need to do is to have a residential address over there to get the ownership there (you know how I hope)..

skylines are converted, but it is not the main reason for not registering it, but that is on conversion, the mechanic might not do a prefect job and creat a death vehicle for you.. steering components have to be very reliable, which might not happen if it was done in an improper way.

or cut the headache and import a 240SX from the US.. you can mod it as much as you want, but I wont suggest anything that you don't like, it is just my opinion from what I c over here..

good luck.
