Hi
my friend is ordering a Charger SRT-8 from the US , but the problem is that the "dealer" who he's paying for says that now they increased the amount of the money when it's Air-Shipped (not through the sea)
he says that this problem just occured , after the financial changes in the US and the dollar , so it will cost 3,800 BD JUST for air-shipping !! (he said 1500BD before two week but now he says everything changed !!)
maxmoood did you ship your car ? or by a plane ? and how much it costs ?

i shipped my car through the sea. as i remember, it was something around $2100, BD.790 or so.. left US on 16th september, reached bahrain 27th october. that's if he's willing to wait that long. if he's doing it through s3ood albkr, i suggest that he stop doing what he's doing.

Bro that air shipping price is a rip off. not even porches cost that much to air ship....
send it thru sea freight.. roll on / roll off is cheaper but i think continers are safer IMO...
Also bro if hes going ahead with it.. he will have to change the radiator to the GCC spec radiator.. we just found out that Chrysler made 3-4 radiators for the LX's and for the middle east they have the biggest and most effective radiator.. which also has different fittings cost to replace all parts IIRC is 300-350BD

Hanooi, bro who told you its 15,500BD for the SRT-8? thats what they would take for a custom ordered R/T with Road and track which they no longer order btw... SRt-8 price points are 18k+

your right about the super bee bro.. he didnt change anything but a few weeks ago some members on LX forums were looking for a cooling solution for their auto cross and track days and they found that their are many radiators and the biggest most effective one was for our reigon!
you dont have to change it out.. best and cheapest option is to install the 180 thermostat.
anyways do good luck to your friend and inshallah he gets what hes after :).

bro i have worked in the cargo and now the port.........from my experience sea is safer and cheaper.....
by air the car will be strapped to a big pallet and then the car comes out on that big pallette ,after that u really dont want to see how they bring the car down from that pallette!!!!!!!!!!
take a container bro and it will ship within 3-4 weeks max.
kanoo- maersk line the containers are better handled than those in the cargo
BTW the only cars shipped by air are F1 and cars that probably cost more than bd200000 and proffessionals to handle the car from A-Z
