I got this great deal in trading my lexus with 2005 3.5 altima so im thinking about what mods is availible for the VQ35DE ? I know its a stupid question but I know shiit about modding a VQ so I want to know what kind of bolt ons is out there or just give me a list of every single mod for VQ35 and I dont want the turbo kits so dont bother ur self and post links of turbo kits any bolt on links just post it here if with price it would be perfect,my friend told me there is an intake, turbo kits, pistons, racing chip (or tuning), connecting rods, filter & exhaust is there more bolt ons or thats it?

there are intakes, exhaust, cams, pistons, and conrods for the 1UZ-FE

the VQ35DE have almost the same parts except for the conrods and pistons

plus both engines have forced induction parts as well but many 1UZ-FE engine owners use Eaton MP90 roots-type superchargers to deliver a more even power throughout the RPMs.

The VQ aftermarket tuners use Centrifugal (half-turbo) superchargers and alot of ppl in forums say that they don't have an even power curve for V6 or V8 engines.

price-wise they are almost the same except for forced-induction packages unless you'd rather build your own turbo kit

But in the end the choice is urs and both blocks are tough and can handle loads of power

the ALTIMA is nissan-usa car ... it'a a jap-american car :D
so most of the part is from usa ( check the sites u deal with and u will find the parts)

I already checked in the sites I deal with but I only found eibach springs for altimas and K&N replacment filter so the hell with them

I was thinking about cold air intake,throttle bodie if the price is worth it,racing chip and maybe exhaust system I dont want to spend alot on the altima I got another car to take care of it so I think CAI,racing chip and throttle bodie and thats it

yeah it's a good deal getting a 2005 car , it's new and reliable ,but did you forget about the diff ratio you got for your RWD lex ? or the (non)electronic throttle ?

in the end it's up to you , but altima mods will be more expensive than the 92 lex

are you sure you wanna buy a racing "chip" ? just search for it and see the price , you can't find a racing chip just like american cars , you can't tune it just like that

is it worth it ? 700BD for tuning a N/A car ?

BTW 5alood the HR has a twin ram-air intake system while the DE has single intake
and yes VQ was right they might have same engines but the ALTIMA is a FF car whicn means different layout unlike the 350Z which is FR

just search for vids / dynos / testimonials for the CIA's and you'll know if it doesn't add power (but it will add toque for sure) , it doesn't hurt , if you want to make sure , just install the cone filter alone and see the difference
