Hey Mates,

Watz up,

Eid Mubarak in delay.

Just a couple of questions regarding the skylines & Supras.

1) Was the 1996- 1999 Supra been sold by the Toyota Dealer in Bahrain? I rarely see any on road, although the ones i see usually have Bahraini Plates so it seems they get registered.

2)Would there be any issue in the traffic dept regarding on importing a supra from the UAE, will i be able to register it in Bahrain with no trouble.Will i be able to change the ownership in UAE?

3)Nissan Skyline, how do these guys get skyline to bahrain from UAE.As im aware that the plates never get changed and the car stays in the name of the UAE guy, which i think is a risk & suppose the car stays in the UAE guys name im wondering how does it get insured & registered without the real owner.

2- some can be registered and some not , if its a RHD in the first place you cant register it here .. only LHD's
3- you never need the real owner to insure and register any car , as long as ur paying the money work is done

Bro, I never ever saw more than a couple of skylines with Bahraini Plates, i heard that they would never get registered in Bahrain unless you have a wasta?

it was expensive thats why you aint seeing any , there are some but they disappeared!

almost all the cars in UAE skylines and supras are all imported from japan so they are originally RHD , Staind Wheels can explain that more to you and ottoman aswell

about registration , I dont think you can register it here unless u have a big wasta

risky enough that you wont be able to drive it!

last time they did a huge check up and took away all the Skylines with non bahraini plates.

you also need to take the car to uae once a yr for insurance and registeration.

Try them, you'll have fun. Then you will get back to the mighty V8's heheh.

You can buy a RHD Supra, and convert it to LHD, change that plate behind the dash board and make it look like a factory LHD. I think that could be registered here, not sure though.

i would never have sold that beautiful c5 only to get a banged up supra/gtr for a similar price and spend close to the cars value in making it run and look perfect (for all i know a well modded gtr goes for 10-12000bd, maybe more?)

i thought u quit sportscars when u sold it, but seeing u go for another sports car, its kinda hurts to think about u selling the c5 in the first place, it was one mint and clean car, a grand (or two) worth of bolt ons would have boosted its power more than enough to keep u happy, very happy

Well back in Highschool ibe learnt something called TOK (Theory of knowledge) this is a philosophy course which teaches people how to make there dreams come true, i have applied this throughout my life after graduation and man its hell of an idea.

Being a teenager i always dreamt of Camaro & a mustang, hmdellah both the dreams came true, then dreamt of a vette and again made it now the only dream which im working on is a Modena or a Lambo, have been keeping an eye in Kuwait & UAE for one but its gonna take a while and i hope to end up in a Ferrari atleast i can service it in Bahrain.( i work so hard to make my dreams come true dont think im kidding).

Well once married at the end of 2008:

1) Caprice will be my daily use car.
2) Sunny will be a spare car.
3) An exotic Convertible sporty should be parked home for weekend rides.
4) The GT or Supra is for Maskara, Drift & probably drag racing.

Man in this tiny island ther isnt much to do, every weekend you dont need to even think where to go there isnt much ???

So its like do whatever comes up in your mind, enjoy your hobbies , being mazaji in your hobbies will never effect anyone.

i had a supra before the evo.. i cant really explain enough how much the evo is a better car!! and.. tbh, skylines and supras are old cars.. unless theyre in really good condition.. ur gonna have to spend alot on just getting them up and running the way you want. the evo is ur best choice... u can mod the car to hell and back (well depends on ur budget, and 4 cylinder capabilities).. but, between all JDM's the evo is the cheapest car to mod.. and.. the closest you can get to a supra/skyline!

they do them on the jap and euro spec cars in UAE and sell them all over the gulf

our inspection (fa79) now came up with away to find out if there was a conversion therefore making it not stock or beleive it or not as they claim not safe to drive

I mean the C-6 is a V8 but tfrg 3n el C5 and the options inside Navigation , etc i do like it this way , strong, full options and a convey and will always tend to look forward to better options its not bs V8 engine and ill keep it for ever.

16k is not worth it.. get an evo VII they go for 6.5-8 depending on condition/mileage/mods. i got mine for a really good price.. plenty of mods.. and 20k on the dial!

and as for no one messing with u.. lol, i mess with every v8 i see on the road!!

there are many satisfied evo owners here on the forum.. ask around!!

the car is cheap to modify.. cheap to maintain (as long as u dont take it to the dealer).. slap on an exhaust, Downpipe, filter, cams, clutch and a boost controler.. and ull be more than happy, u can race ANYTHING from a dig! and all this wont even pass 500BD!
