My point Here is that this is a good race in japan, and with mainly Japanease cars, due to the fact that the race is good and gets good publicity in Japan and Asia European teams started partecepating in it, and that as good as it is, its not a Bench mark to what car is better, nor does any race BTW, all the cars in racing world are Modefide to hell and back, and at the end of the day its who's got the bigger wallet (better vechile development, better drivers, better crew).

when you are compairing what is better, you compare apples to apples, yes some cars are a better platform to start a race car project, but when you are talking about budgets in access of 2 Million US dollars a season, Big sponsors and so forth, its the team more than the car.

About Best Motoring, they do always try to give the Japanese cars the best shot at winning, by racing modified versions only they get, and by placing them at the top pf the grid. But the actual racing is real and done by pros, but Japanese cars don't always win.

Top gear are also bias in their reviews. They always include British cars in comparisons that other cars are better fit for the job, and always prefer Jags and the Austin Martin from any other manufacturer. But the Stig laps are real and what JC says is one thing and in fact could be something else.

especially when the epsiode is special about a car

for example , the NSX , they put it on the track with super cars and it beat them all

and the next epsiode is about the porsche 911 , (remeber that it was racing the nsx before) , in this epsiode you see the NSX is the last one and the competetion is between the porsche and some other modded cars

they do this always to the following cars :

Type R's
RX-7
EVo's

you see them beat x cars in the special epsiodes and then next they are in the back , last ones !

The porsche is still a hiratage... GT3s are what porsches beating the rest with. It's still too advance to any manufaturer (except Ferrari)

Stock 997TT is what every manufactory trying to beat as it did set the standard, a very high one. And that is why Nissan took a lot of time to intoduce the new GTR, and set another standard which then came the all-mighty ZR1 and shitt in the tank :D
