With a respect of the basic form of the original vehicle, the Kleemann GT55 design achieves in giving the car a more refined look. The design and performance of the GT55 truly fits the description Gran Turismo. The GT55 was conceived for the innovative client who won’t compromise on quality, design and performance.
The special front and rear spoilers of the Kleemann GT55 emphasize the fact that this is a powerful product. The front spoiler is formed to give optimal stability at any speed. Air intakes insure optimal cooling of the engine and kompressor whilst providing ample ventilation for the brakes to minimize fading while under heavy braking.
The rear spoiler is equipped with a diffuser channel to control airflow under the vehicle thus providing stability at very high speeds.
The GT55 runs on the revolutionarily designed 20” Kleemann TS-6 wheels.
The right/left designed wheels draw air out from under the vehicle providing extra cooling for the brakes whilst generating more down force for the GT55. Aesthetically, the right/left wheels look correct when rotating regardless from which side the GT55 is viewed.
The interior of the GT55 is tailor made to the client’s exact specification. The sporty multi-contour seats are available in a wide range of leather/alcantara colours and combinations. The special ergonomic leather sports steering wheel is designed to provide optimal grip for any hazardous situation that may arise whilst preserving the original formula 1 style gear change.
The performance of the state of the art engine is something else entirely. Using the powerful V8 engine from Stuttgart as a base, Kleemann has refined the power and performance by fitting the Kleemann V8 kompressor. Although the Kleemann kompressor runs at a lower boost compared to the original AMG unit, the Kleemann kompressor is far superior, delivering extraordinary power output in all circumstances. The impressive 640 b/hp are available at 5.800 rpm. More importantly however the huge torque output is available from 2000 – 6000 rpm, enough to thrust the 55GT from 0-100 k/ph in an impressive 4,6 seconds. More explanation is not needed; this grand tourer has to be experienced first hand.
