UAE tried to buy the P&O ports and won the bid but their congress stopped it. if they assume to be open market and anyone with money can buy anything its a total lie, they would never accept to be owned by foreigners, its not only this incident, there are many that go on and on every year. due to war and also due to america printing alot of US DOLLARS TOILET TISSUES causing the value of dollar to get lower and with it the value of our pethitic currency (which should be a united currency with our neighbour countries or as muslim world currency and not to be based upon some other currency for its value, it could have been the most powerful currency especially as the ex prime minister of malaysia said about it and explained alot about it). plus the money we get for oil which is in trillions cant be invested to buy e.g general motors, p&o ports, while they can come and have a war in our region without any rejections killing almost a million and making millions homeless and one of them die they make him a hero and make many movies of his heroic life, while people defending their lands even by fellow muslims are called terrorists, the biggest example is HezbAllah

its not about consuming, its about being independent and being able to have our own share in the world's trade with things other than oil

today for example you are the person who has all the wheat in bahrain and saudi doesnt have any wheat but have bakeries, you sell them all the wheat that you are producing, from that money you buy all the different breads and cakes from saudi again because we dont have a bakery in bahrain which can make that wheat which is produced in bahrain in to the bread we eat and need. this is just an example of our oil situation. why cant we have our own productions other than bahraini pafak meeno

its not about consuming, its about being independent and being able to have our own share in the world's trade with things other than oil

today for example you are the person who has all the wheat in bahrain and saudi doesnt have any wheat but have bakeries, you sell them all the wheat that you are producing, from that money you buy all the different breads and cakes from saudi again because we dont have a bakery in bahrain which can make that wheat which is produced in bahrain in to the bread we eat and need. this is just an example of our oil situation. why cant we have our own productions other than bahraini pafak meeno

this is what is pissing me off, people say we are stupid, this region of the world has defined the shape of the world today as a society.

until we actually manage to produce our own "wheat" we are in no position to be boycotting for any reason unless sustainable agricultural or tangible development of products is realized AND executed.
