I'll just say this as from what I have seen my father do for as long as I can remember.

Eat healthy, and exercise regularly (my father used to spend his whole evening at the gym after work). Stay away from junk foods, and keep away from all the pills and nutritional drinks. Get your nutrition from natural sources like fruits and vegetables. Your proteins from red meats and fish. Have cereals for your breakfast for lots of fiber and iron. Fish is good for Omega 3, or you could just buy the 7 Seas Cod liver oil capsules as a daily intake, 2 capsules a day is enough. Stop the junk food, and the fizzy drinks too.

Exercise to strengthen your body and increase your agility, not to just pump it up and carry around extra weight.

Good luck with it. And remember not to try to push yourself too far :) it only results in serious injuries :)

NoXblode, Mayoplix, Nytrix, Vitamins, and I follow a diet, works well for me, I go to a nutretion every 3 months to check my blood presure, heart beat rate, and he tells me mroe about the diet Im doing, he is a friend so he does it for free and thats a good thing haha.

My goal is 6% body fat by the end of the year, I dont need to get bigger, Im big enough i guess.

totally agree, all those supplements and other unnatural nuitrations arent good and result in side effects in the long term.

plus once you stop, you'll loose your body as fast as you gained it. so doing it the right way and the only thing matters is to be FIT, not bulky like a barrel with arms and legs

guyz take it easy on the old mentalities ... suppliments are not always steroids and harmful .. when u work out , you are allowing your body be pushed to the limit or just to a a point where your body isn't used to hitting. just like a car that is tuned or supercharged you always need better oil, fuel etc..
in this case the supplements you need are not for getting bigger and stronger, they are simply for your tissue recovery. when u lift weights and exert your muscles , the fibers they get damaged and become hypoxic(meaning deprived of oxygen) and the process of recovery includes building new fibers on top of the old torn ones , thats why you get bigger and after a while your muscles go through hypertrophy(inc. in size) and hyperplasia( increase in number of fibers) hence bulky.
all the guyz recomindations are right , but each level needs its own supplements. when you start working out make sure you your carbs early during the day , try to cut em to a min, just a lil bit to make u go in the morning, and eat protein with some brown rice if u want or baked potatoes 2 hours b4 the gym, and make sure you eat chicken breast with veggies or baked potatoes right after the gym , not longer than 1/2 hour after working out.
the supplements you need are just multivit. alot of water . fruits will pprovide u wiith a lot of suger that if you r trying to cut down in weight i recomend to stay away from them. Omega3 is a good fattty acid, for your arteries not to clogg up later in the future.
cut down ur portions in half and have each meal in 2 sessions( ya3ni make 3 meals 6, or 4 into 8. this will speed up your metabolism and keeps u slim and fit.
have a cup of coffe b4 working out , it does wonders .
in the gym , i know that you know this how to start light and go up with time. but make sure you are working out the groups of muscles that work antagonistly . biceps/back... tricep/chest ... shoulders shrugz and forearms.
and dedicate one day out of the week to work out your legs and cardio, cardio and legs probably dont seem exciting or beneficial for upper body shape and strength, but you will be amazed with the amount of growth hormone released in ur system after u work out your legz why? cause in your legs you have big muscles and when you work out big muscles you release more GH. sleep at leeast 8 hours every night that will increasee the release of GH more than anything( make sure you sleep the 8 hours at the beginning of the night not after midnight.
your body secretes enough hormones to deal withh your newly supercharged lifestyle, but at the same time the body secretes a hormone called cortisol , its a stress hormone, that gets secreted in stressful situations( exercise, starvation, and even stress) so as i mentioned b4 u have to eat right after u work out , or this hormone gets secreted to provide your body with energy and glucose by breaking up fat and muscle tissue, and more muscle than fat.
go into the gym work out and leave right away , no time for random conversations.. make sure u r in and out in one hour span ,, trust me you'll see way better results. conversations after the gym are the killers cause your body will start secreting cortisol and the muscles you were trying to build are getting used up to provide energy.
eat baked potatoes after working out as a source of suger, cause you'll be craving sugers the whole time after done working out .
eat foul( arabic beans, egyption or whatever.. they have a lot of protein and fiber , and they give amazing shreded results.
if you need nay more info later on let me know plz, i would love to help.
ask all the bahraineis that went to school at Depaul , chicago ,, ghafry i miss you bro.. if you need to ask , ask him and he'll tell u to only listen to me.
ps. if you think that u need extra supplements , use amino acids and protein shakes with zero sugar, they are just meal replacments.
later on maybe 6-8n months from now, you can take this product called NO or NO2 or NOx2.. you guyz will love this nitric oxide ( NOS) lol.. we all have it i n our bodies and it causes vasodilation od arteries and veins hence more food and oxygen delivered to the muscles. no side effects except more rigid Boners lol. NO is produced in ur body via the arginine pathway. so don't worry it will help u with no long term effects or damage.
good luck ...
pss.well when u stop working out , you won't get tarahollat unless you overdose on food after u stop working out , or you worked out to get massive bulky and then quit, otherwise if you lift and do cardio , nad for some reason u stop , you will lose some mass but with no taraholat., and remeber your muscles have memory of the size that they got to , so if you are going back to the gym after a while of not working out don't be surprized from your muscles bulging like crazy first 2 dayz you go back and dont think you are back to what you used to be ... they are just strtch receptors that allow the muscle to go back to the bigger size it had b4. so work out on schedule that suits you and your muscles

ive been in a gym for a month now, but im not really into body building, from what ive seen really skinny guys turn big, real big then they got engaged, no time to workout and FLOP all hard work gone

bashar why dont you eat a lil more and stick to strength training rather than bodybuilding...i feel its healthier once we start aging, lets be realistic...are we gonna be gym rats till were 50? the once ive known to be gym rats and quit have lost all the muscle, gained weight the ones who were careful settled for strict diets and dint gain fat at best

i chose to stick to cardio workouts and strength training, a lil bodybuilding wont do any harm, but im sticking clear off proteins, i used to take "joe weider" protein-- vanilla flavour few years ago, pumped me up a bit to my friends amazement but look at my daba today :)

i dont know if its the protein or my bad diet, whatever you do dont go extreme and good luck :)

if u stop working out.. that u'll get fat overnight...

if u stop working out, and u still EAT like you work out.. then u can get fat..

but if u reduce ur intake at the same time.. u'll be alright.. u'll just revert slowly to the way u used to be..

basharooo... as i told u on msn ...

got o a nutritionist .. check ur blood and see whats missing from vitamins and minerals.. check what ur gonna need to build up ur body. THEN go to a gym.

eating lots of food wont help if u dont know what ur body needs exactly.

as for me, i've already joined a gym and i plan on hiring a personal trainer soon to get the most advantages i can get to build up my body's fitness. cuz eating alone wont help u gain weight as exercising+right food.

Pumping up your body just for the sake of looking big and muscular is not the same as working out to increase the durability of your body, your agility, the strength of your body and maintaining your health.

You will get bigger muscles as you work out, thats inevitable. But your agility will increase, and your strength will increase with it too. Your body will be able to endure a lot more.

Being pumped up won't mean you can run quick or run for long distances, and your body has so much more to be damaged as well.

here u go...

Use of creatine as a food supplement is on the rise. Despite its usefulness, creatine is found to have some side effects . The most common side effect is weight gain due to more water in the muscle and increase in the lean-muscle tissue. Other side effects observed were dehydration, muscle cramps, nausea, diarrhea, gastrointestinal distress and seizures. For persons with existing kidney or renal disorders, creatine was found to cause renal stress because of more stress on the kidneys.

Staind is right.. Creatinine is the worst.. it can screw up yours kidneys..

Eyood, drinking 5L of water a day or so is perfect... with protein shakes nothing happens.

You guys wont believe this but eating alot of red meat also causes kidney stones and believe me when I tell u kidney stones are a biaaatch..

I had it like twice...

I used to be 58kgs 2 yrs ago... Started gym with protein shakes for 2months.. my whole life was working out/and protein shakes.. I gained muscle and my weight increased to 70kgs in 2 months. After that, i got kidney stones, parents (both doctors, moms a nutrionist too) told me to stop the shakes. I got fcuked, lost all my muscle because of the sickness and never went to the gym again.

I also know one guy working as an undercover cop.. he was huuuuuuuuugeee... pretty well built.. he was on creatinine too.. it ****ed his kidney.. stones after infections after stones.. now he lost half his weight, looks like a stick now..

oh and designo: thats not true, because ppl taking steriods have small d**** and are impotent.

This was how my body looked like around gym days..

I used to work out 2 hrs a day/5 days a week for almost 2 months..

2 protein shakes a day, a glass of milk with a banana every night

and a good diet with proteins/meat.

I was gona be fine if I have drank enough water.. (my dr told me im prone to kidney stones, need to drink atleast 5Ls a day).. I used to drink like 100ml a day hehehe.. anyway after i got sick, almost all went away :chairs:

Define strength tho? Is it the ability to lift massive amounts of weights? Is it to be able run long distances? Is it the ability to lift 200kg dumbbells?

He has to set a goal towards what he is trying to do.

Yes, you will get stronger with working out, and your muscles will grow. But how much will they grow? Are you trying to get more strength for muscle or just look big?

no offense to anyone here , but when a guy asks a question , we should answer him directly.. you guyz went into health hazards of ingesting excess protein... wow. as if you guyz dont eat tikka all the time and kabobs and fish its all protein and anything that doesnt get used get converted to sugers nad fat by a process called DEamination in the liver.. sometimes the liver does it without excess protein intake. anyways ... again any questions about RX7's ask otto and if something is medical ask ME .. lol ... later

Im thinking about joining Ghassan's gym. from what i hear its the best, and its real close to me, kinda expensive for one month so im going to get the one year package!. 150 dinars last time i checked, one thing though.

they themselves told me the most complaints they get are that the trainers dont really Give you face much!. does this matter?. all i need is a schedule and to get shown how stuff works and ill be fine on my own.

actually a gr8 idea, gym equipment isnt very costly, if the number of members covers up the rent & expenses in a comfy way we can allow membership through invitation.....by existing members

but forget a small hall, we need a decent sized place to breath :)

like i said, gr8 idea for ggt to have their very own gym

i remeber back in 2000 me and my cozin were able to accomplish that idea (the gym) we got a small flat, got all of the equipment and it didnt cost as much as we expected!around less than 200bd for the equipment(slightly used)and furnishing+the electricity bill that never reached more than 5 dinars per month!belive me guyz all u need is a few good men and it's done....and if there's anybody else who's into more than just blah blah blah,im serious about this, and about the expenses,it will feel like a breez if devided among a group, and to those who hate waitting in line u will have the treadmill or the dumbell or whatever allll to urself, and the more experienced will pass their wisdom to the less fortunate!!oh and one last thing it's always better to
"GO NATURAL"instead of using anything that force's the body into acting in a diffrent matter than it does in normal circumstances!
