i dunno bout the new shape models, but for the older ones, you have 3 types, the GS, which is a plain 2.0 litre FWD, the GS-T which comes with a turbo, and the GS-X, which is a awd turbo, and these ones mooooooove
Finding a GS-X here in the gulf is kinda difficult, but i dunno about the states, if u find one, go for it! but dont bother with the regular GS they dont move at all... theyre nice cars, reliable and dont have too many problems + lots of aftermarket parts available for them so you wont have a problem trying to modify them.
just ask if u need more info

Thanks for replying. if ill buy a previous model eclipse itll be a turbocharged one for sure, but the only thing im worried about, in the GST's case, is the handling. I wouldnt want a car that will spin in the snow or ice if you know what i mean:spaz:
how about the new GT? did anyone drive it? I drove the GS model which is a 2.4 I4 FWD, it was ok, but it wasnt fast.

i have no idea about snow or ice we dont have any of that here
hehe but the thing is the car handles pretty well i used to drive a GS-T, theyre FWD and theyre handling is pretty nice. A few mods and u can get it flying  The GS-T is pretty nice generally but if u find a GSX go for it!

the eclipse doesnt really lose control... only problem we had with the eclipse slipping was once when we were driving at about 180km and there was a roundabout infront of us, and slamming the brakes at that kind of speed is not a good idea i think the brakes locked or something and we ended up slipping and got on the pavement lol... it wasnt a bad accident the car did slow down to about 40km when we went on the pavment so it basically just one broken shock, two tires and one rim that needed to be replaced hehe

Il7mdellah nothing happened to you..
well, AWD is always better for bad weather conditions, and thats why im hoping to get a GSX.
How was the wheelspin?
