OUT of fuel - surely not in Bahrain. It's Labour Day, we board the plane for our 30-minute flight and leave the stand half an hour late. Visibility is poor with sand in the air but we trundle along to join the runway queue.

Without any announcement from the cabin crew, over one hour later, we turn back to the boarding stand, take on fuel and return to the runway at midday - two hours later than the scheduled take-off time. We had assumed visibility had deteriorated thus preventing take-off but there was no crew announcement. Wrong! The plane had insufficient fuel for the flight. Money must be tight.

I felt sorry for most of the passengers who missed their connecting flight when, at last, they are informed that their next flight out would be just after midnight. More salt on the wounds when they are finally told that their new midnight flight to their final destination is going back via Bahrain. No, it's not Gulf Air this time. But yet another airline that doesn't let passengers on board know when there's a problem, and how it will be resolved.

Could be Bahrain Air , i have had some friends fly with them , they were not satisfied at all , they were crapping their pants the whole flight to Dubai and back .... they said they had so many mechanical faults on the aircraft

You need balls, money and patience to make it in the airline industry. Cause you deserve to be there not cause you are cheap, but cause you are efficient, reliable and reasonable.

Another story with GulfAir ..

Just because I got a good deal on a ticket for easter through GulfAir, I surely gave it a shot. It wasnt even a minute late to move away from the gate, but we were stuck for almost an hour, but I can understand that there's a traffic queue on the runway.

On my way back to Heathrow, I was told next to the check in counter that the flight is delayed from 3.40pm till 4.25pm .. Another few dots ....... It took off at 5.17pm!

I reached London at 10.35pm .. Passed the passports, took my lugagge and left the airport not before 11ish .. I fcuking missed my train to Nottingham, I fcuking had to stay a night in London and I fcuking had to pay for another train ticket to Nottingham. Whatever I saved from the 50 pounds cheaper ticket was paid thrice as much!
