so, how do u guyz define this word?


do u respect ppl for who they are?

do u respect ppl for WHAT they are?

do u respect ppl for what they drive?

do u respect ppl for how much they got in the bank? whether rich or poor?


the reason im asking this, is cuz i've seen sooo many types of ppl not knowing how to be respected! i've seen rich ppl driving luxury or exotic cars forcing others to respect them cuz they own a few companies. i've seen POOR ppl being respected more than others for own nothing, but have won the respect of ppl just like that! i've seen ppl disprespect and make fun of a person cuz he owns a slow car, but once his car got fast they respected him instantly!! .... now, why does it work like that in bahrain?

For me respect depends on the person personality. For example you respect others seeking for your own.

I admire people who made it in the hard way and that doesn’t fall in the category of respect but it can lead to it.

For me people with hot rides or lots of money are not respected unless they worked hard on it.

it's a tough call..

generally I tend to respect ppl with money Less then others who don't..
because they become spoiled a$$holes that think they can buy anybody because daddy has a fat paycheque.. (especially those who didn't work hard to earn their money tend to be the worst)

i know many "well off" ppl.. but only a small number of them i'd consider my friends.. they are the modest ones who don't flash it in your face, or brag about it or try to make themselves feel better by putting u down

respect is a 2 way street.. give and take.. i don't respect someone who doesn't respect me, or themselves..

respect is not given.. it is earned... everyone starts on the same level when I meet them.. poilte curtious nice.. and then sit and watch them and see if they dig their own grave, or grow..

i also expect the same from others to do it to me as well

biggest determinants of respect to me are character and personality

not material possessions, or money, or last name,

the only exception to this would be Title..

ppl with P.h.D. or MSc next to their title do deserve some credit and respect.

In the racing scene, its an everyday thing where we make fun of eachothers cars. But if they are being serious about it, I can't see the point.

i met a bahraini who told me that because i was indian, i had to wait (he was jumping a whole line to the counter in bbk) when i stopped him he says"i'm bahraini!...your a bloody indian" to this i reply" so?, get in the damn line and wait"----what he did was disrespectful, not just to me...but all the others in the line, as if our time has no value
