Road & Track just spilled the beans on the new Nissan GT-R Spec V, so we can now share their data with all of you. Thanks guys. While the "regular" GT-R is busy bringing down giants and collecting hardware in the process, the new GT-R Spec V promises to improve on the formula, and probably cure cancer or bring about world peace along the way. Here are the numbers: 2 seats only, 520 hp @ 6500 rpm, 440 lb.-ft. of torque all the way from 3200–5200 rpm, 3615 lbs., 'Ring laps quicker than 7:30, $130,000 MSRP, early 2009.

So the car will lose its back seat and enough other stuff to shed 200 pounds, will get an extra 40 advertised horses, The GTR cost almost twice as much as the current model and lap the Nordschleife faster than a Porsche 997 GT2. We had that number as low as 7:25 recently, which is just insane. We're guessing there will be enough people that will wait for this model to hit U.S. shores when it debuts in early 2009, but even more who will think they can duplicate the recipe for far fewer dollars and a regular old GT-R.

2 times the price of a GT-R, which will also be 2 times the price of a ZR1, and will only have a few seconds lead on the ZR1?

BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAA :smilelol:

daaaaaamn ADM ... you don't even know how to count !! what's the name of your college again ? sounds easy one !!

zr-1 cost more than 100K
you double that and you will get 200K
200K > 130K
I hope you get it !!!

and " few seconds lead " !!!
it's like saing " in the 1/4 mile drag this car did it in 8 and the other in 11 ... it's just 3 seconds only " !!!

somehow the GT-R makes you like some 12 years old fanboy !!!

i wont belive all this talk and crap until we see a race like we did with the GT-
they bragged about the GT-R and at the end it can barely keep up with a bolton C6 :pat:

let it hit the streets and lets see whats the deal :bounce: so far its all numbers on paper even the ZR-1 has not proven a thing on the streets yet

this stupid track lap timing has to do more with the driver then the car itself so who gives a crap about the lap times :bounce:

omani guys will surely race a Z06 once they get their hands on it so trust me we wont be waiting long :up2:
