Edmunds claims to have "insider sources" that confirm the following specs for the upcoming 2011 Acura NSX.
V10 with up to 600hp and 433tq
3256lbs curb weight
MSRP ~ $160,000

Yea, but the ZR1 is an icon, its a car with heritage and history. The NSX was just a car Honda made so that it wouldn't be left out in the performance car market in Japan. It still flopped.

it was never designed to be a mass seller..
it was a flag ship car designed to show the technical skills and capabilities of Honda as a manufacturer...

i agree with you 100 percent
the nsx is an icon for all the jdm sport cars like the zr1 for american cars
and i'm sure it will use the technology from the f1 cars and it will be the most
revving v10 ever
its like the LFA in a way , which lexus or toyota show the consumer that they can build a supercar like ferrari or better
those car were not made to be a volume seller ,its only to present that we are here and we can build something , i admire the japanese car companies
talking about the zr1 as an icon maybe for some people but at the end of the day is another corvette , with a monster engine
it wont be close to the nsx or the gt500 lfa as people call it
i'm not talking about speed but all around , you need a design that will last for years , you need interior that wont rattle after few miles , you need to have technolgy or gadget like paddle shift etc , which you wont see in american cars
take an example get a 91 nsx and park it next to c4 or c5 or even c6 which one looks better its nsx no doubt about that
the last nsx was sold for over 100,00 i believe 2004 model
so 160,000 for a price tag is worth it

You also need to know that you are driving a RWD Civic.

I would hate 2 drives a paddle shift and all the gismos
I like to drive a car not the car is driving me.

Especially for a Honda.
And 3alaa2 is right. You wanna drive the car, not have the car drive for you.
Thats the reason why I support the Corvette over the GT-R. The Corvette's performance relies on the skill of the driver. In the GT-R, you got all the driving aids to help you.

I tottaly disagree with you BRN996TT, Maybe the C4 looks ugliest corvette production but it's still a vette, which has to be a big name in sport cars. You may hate C4s or C5s in the way they look but some people love it . Let me give you example 63 Corvette Stingray looks hella better than your nsx and people would prefer it for sure , well not all of them but most them. And as you said it's still a corvette with monster engine and the nsx still a Honda with Honda engine. Old school vette's hella better than new once " C4 C5 " but there is no compare between NSX and C6 vette.

wait and see the Ring Numbers , i'm sure a 600HP car that weighs less than 1500kg and LOTS of technology will get an amazing number

Yea, thats all its about isn't it? Who has quickest computers to do the job for you, and the electronic differential control and power distribution, magnetic flux suspension, driver aids, steering correction, 0.5 second gear shifts, launch controls.
And it still cant beat the Z06.

chevy is losing so much money.. and have been recording a loss for several years straight..
their only division that's doing semi decent is Cadillac at the moment.. which have posted record sales for the ME. and N Africa.

i dont care about the dealer .. i care about my enjoyment .. they can raise the price all they want but they are just not doin it .. ur getting that crappy interior for the price u pay and getting an awesome performance for a price u dream off
they can easily give u the fancy interior with the wild track options that u wont even neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed but have to raise the price which is exactly what GM is avoiding to do, they want any average buyer to enjoy a fast car and not have to have loads of money to afford one .. call them back dated or idiots but this is the way they are ..
and one more thing track wo track wo handeling theb7ona chena kelwa7ed track champion ehni or 24/7 fel BIC ga3deen paying god knows cham for one lap .. etroo7on fog or ta7at at the end betsabgooon fel highway or drag the strip as this is our life style in the GCC and will always stay that way

i read a lot about those track numbers , in the end i realize the z06's handling is enough for the streets and in the end we'll use the cars on the streets

what you say makes sense blacky..
but think about it the other way around..
if we go by what u say..
how often are u gonna use the power and performance and handling on the street? 5%? especially with all the cops and speed cameras and traffic now..
so that's when the interior and luxury and quality comes into play
even in my M5 it's the same story..
I got 400hp under the hood.. but I rarely exceed 3,000 rpm..
i'm grateful I have the build quality and comfort and quietness and luxury and sound system, cold A/C, etc etc
cuz that's what i'm using 95% of the time I'm on the road...
the "hardcore" cars with the rock hard suspension, super loud exhaust, lightweight, noisy, heavy clutch "fast" cars end up sitting in the garage most of the time..
cuz when I take them out.. I can't use them for what they're made for.. driving fast and driving hard..

otto i couldn't agree with u more :up2: but ur forgetting one small thing majority of sport car owners never use them for daily driving .. they always have a spare car specially me and including urself .. and anyone who can afford a 911 turbo or an M5 can easily afford another comfy ride :bounce:
one more thing comfort and luxury was never the issue here .. scroll up and see what was the subject :bounce:

Sports cars world is about balancing between power/handling and Comfort/Quality
Money is the thing that can take care of this balance :D
