WARNING FROM POLICE

BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE--NEW WAY TO DO
CAR- JACKINGS (NOT A JOKE)'

Heads up everyone! Please, keep this circulating... You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and shift into Reverse.

When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into Park unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

And guess what, ? I bet your purse or wallet or shopping, is still in the car.

So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are now compromised!
BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED.

If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away. Remove the paper later. And be thankful that you read this e-mail. I hope you will forward this to friends and family, especially to women. A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands

not unless you have a anti-jacking system that requires a code to be entered every time the car door opens for the car to drive ;)

I also think many people will be too lazy to stop the car get out and remove a paper. They will just keep driving and hope that the wind will do its job

once you start the car it doesnt turn off when the remote is removed.

the remote is just for initial startup.. it will bug u with an alarm if its not there.. but its tolerable!

OMG this is soooo old! Can't believe it just started happening in the Middle East? LOL This is like the oldest trick in the book -- I remember getting a letter in the mail from my Borough Council in london in the very early 2000's to alert residents of this kind of behaviour!

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go listen to my 80's American music that was just released in Bahrain last week.

Preferrably to never have them at all. but yet I agree. lol

Man I remember back in the 80's or early 90's in Bahrain, we never used to lock our doors or have a worry in the world. Things are changing big time! Although I was pleasantly surprised one day when I was playing Billiards at the Adliya Billiard Centre (now Costa Adliya next to the mosque) I was at a table by the window and as I was leaning to take my shot, my car keys in my pocket unlocked the car and held the unlock button down which automatically opens the sunroof and all the windows - I was parked outside the flower shop next to Fudds.

So I only realised that this had happened once I left a couple of hours later -- and this was at around 8-9ish in the evening ba3ad. Had shopping bags from clothes stores in the back seat and some money in the centre consol and my iPod in the glove compartment. Came to the car, and everything was still there -- nothing had been moved. Even though my doors were all unlocked and my windows were all open!

Lucky huh? This was only 3 years ago so pretty recent.

i think even if a theft saw the car like this , he was thinking that it's a trap or that the owner is standing somewhere that he is actually watching the car :D (in fudz for example)
