DONT FORGET,

$65000 + Sales tax at 8.5%+ registration and title fees = $500. Land transport to one of the ports in America from Ft Lauderdale. In this case it would be Jacksonville Fl, $1000, Shipping to Middle East $2500-3500. Bahrain Import tax at 5% = $78225 or almost 30,000BD Its probably still a little bit cheaper than Bahrain, just dont forget all the hidden costs!

some states require dealers to include sales tax on list prices. Reg and title fees are not really required if the vehicle is an export. With regards to shipping you can get rates for less than quoted prices ($2000 max for 45-day shipping plus insurance)

thanks guys on the comment, but u missed my point as i didnt meant importing the car from states, my point was why the prices aint the same as the states, why dont the dealers charge us in USD instead of EUR.

All states don't require the tax price be included in the sales prices since taxes are paid directly to the government. There is a way around the sales tax if you buy through Oregon and Montana due to their 0 sales tax policy. A car does have to be licensed and titled unless the dealership your buying from is an exporter. To send the car you do need the title to obtain the Bill of Laden. Even a title with a lien written on it will not be exported until the bank release's it. I've sent multiple cars to family in Saudi and have gone through the same process multiple times. About warranty, the GM and Lexus warranties work in the Middle East. I'm no sure about BMW and Mercedes though.

The dealer will charge you only in line with the mufacturers surrency trade. If for example, MB priced their vehicles in USD, then rate fluxuation would not be a problem for us.

The dealer books the currency at a specific rate when you place your order, and they are at the mercy of the forex rate when your car arrives.
