I'm considering the new macbook, will use it beside my dell.. Not only that it's slim and sexy, but the specs are amazing, nevertheless the graphics feels so pure!
I actually considered it because I'll need much of graphics, drawings.. etc for my course.. And its also good for a change.. I'm dozzed, cant make up my mind.. I consider it as an investment, and my money wont go to waste..
What do u guys think?

Adool: I added u on Facebook, we'll talk about it once you're online.
Abood: My laptop already acts like a bullet, but many people, including my lecturers, recommended the macbook for such useful performances..
Onur: I used my gf's macbook for a while, before breaking up with her =p.. I think I'll need another week or two, to get completely used to it!

the mac would be a great choice ........but getting em software would prove costly

mac software can be found on torrents.. althought not as readily available..
if u have the spare cash.. I say go for it..
worst case scenario.. if u don't like OS X u can always use bootcamp and switch back to windows... and still have a pretty machine :p
OS X is not hard.. infact it's alot easier in many ways.. but it's "different" u have to let go of the windows way of doing things and try it the mac way.. which is generally more intuitive and more straight forward..

ahem, macbook pro user here...
once you go to mac OSX, you never want to go back to wind$%^YJWEY#
they are reliable, no lags, no viruses, performance never changes, no need to format it from time to time.... but be ready to face lack of software, like if you are a 3ds maxer, then be ready to shift to Maya..lol
okay, get your macbook from the US, there is almost 150 BD difference in the prince (if not more), not to mention the better specs.
I suggest you wait a month or two, maybe this economy crunch would affect apple's prices.
DONT deal with neither Apple Store nor iMachines, they will make sure to rip you off, and also their service is so fu*ken fu*ked up!!!!

The problem is that I cant order it from the US online store, it directs me automatically to the UK store.. Ive been looking around, here and there, there's this store that gives student discounts and will sell for 886 quid, which is around 500BD.. Take off the VAT since I'll give the receipt to any family member/ friend going back home, so thats like 753 pounds~ 422 BD.. I'm just not sure whether to get it, YET!
I'll see how it goes, but thanks for the advise :)

As I said earlier, I'm in the UK, you're talking about the American Amazon.. And I just rechecked the prices on amazon.co.uk .. They're around a 100 quid more than the highstreet price :)

I too own a MacBook Pro, and as Unbreakable said, once you switch to mac OSX you will never want to go back to Windows.
It's simply the best laptop I have ever stumbled upon.

Just bought a 2.4G Macbook from Heathrow for 970 pounds! Which was a great deal considering the prices in Bahrain.
I am very happy with it!

if you get viruses or trojans just delete the virtual machine you are using...I have used parallels to install war craft 3..as i got my original mac copy i removed parallels
and even if you get viruses while using the boot camp, just log into your pc using mac os x, remove the viruses methel il sha3ra fil 3ajeen :d
