today is a bad day for me and for those how likes "japanese nostalgic cars" :(

my gov started to crush/destroy all the old and abandond cars (yes includeing american cars), over 3000 cars are being crused now..... once I heared the news I immeditly went to where they keep the cars in order to get something saved (for future projects) and I came empty handed :(

guess what I've forund (I will only talk about jap cars cuz I really like'em)
I found 2 rx3, about 8 Gen 1 rx7, tens of 929 coupe (from 70s to late 80s) some beutiful old school wagons, MK1/2/3 supras/celicas, KP starlets, nissan skylines (mostly R30 and R31,,,, no 70s model found) 81/82 bluebirds SSS coupe heck I even saw isuze coupe!

I spend around 3 hours like crazy, trying just to get at least 1 car.... one of my friends (he's from New Zealand) was with me and went crazy :rollaf: he was like :hitit: and keep telling me that most of these cars are really above $1k as a shell, and my gov will not get 50% of that if they crush it and sell it as raw metal :(
well it's true if you look at other countries like USA, Japan (well anywhere but not arab country or africa)

I really feel bad because when I talk to my friends they keep telling me that if someone want a classic car (never mind if it's jap or euro or american) that should import it from USA!!! poeple here are really lazy and don't value what we have here :( they just say "crush it, it's just old useless car" and I keep telling them that one man rubish is another man treasure.

I don't know what to say, I know some of you will be like "why you care about some old rubish jap crap" well, I don't know why, but I'm really sure that some poeple outside Qatar do like those cars, as no one in Qatar share the same love with me (they even said it to my face about my 86 and the impreza, that I should not have these cars and get a Land cruiser instead!!!)

anyway, I will try to find some واسطه to get me hands on some of these cars and keep them for future projects....... old school cars are in my blood and I want to rock in them everyday, when everybody in my country are driving some boring, heavy and Automatic cars :rollaf:

They should auction them as a first step and If no buyer was found then crush it

^^^ if you like American then read this, one of the cars I spotted was a 68 impala SS with really clean 327 engine :( I sure this one will make above 100 methane gas cylinders for selling cooking gas :(

That one is so unique, it reminds me of the Kpgc110 skyline. btw one thing I noticed about all the RXs we found was non of them is rotary  makes me wounder if mazda gave us a totally different specs at that time?

no cash, these cars were abandoned all over Qatar for over 5 years and the gov collected them in order to clean the streets and make benefits selling them as raw steel

I 100% sure it was an rx3, even my new zealand friend did recognize it. Even if we mistaken about it, what about the other rx7s who had piston engines and not rotary??

here are some pictures I took, I wasn't able to take pictures for all of the (over 3000 car) but you get the point that some very rare cars are going to extinct. Yes I know, most are not in best shape, but those can be restored and also can be great projects for people who likes them. I'm mad at my gov cuz they didn't allow me to take only one or two instead of crushing them :(

Shame -- but in a way i'm glad they're doing it. They should do it here too I believe as there are far too many Datsun 240Z's and early 90s Altima's in Bahrain that can whoop my M6's butt and thats just not fair!

all RX* cars came with a rotary engine

it can't have RX in the name without it..

i'm guessing they swapped the engine themselves somewhere down the road..

I would love to take that RX3 and make it a 20B drag car!
