-anything not Made in USA will have customs.
-there is an amount to transfer the car's title to another person, and it has to be done @ the DMV. don't remember how much tho.
-other than the customs and the title transfer, in bahrain (mina2 salman) i paid around BD80+- to different dept. to finalize my car's papers and be able to take it outta the port. i paid around BD500+ custom fees *given that my car is a JDM*
-i paid import license plates rental, new plate number, registration, and insurance.
-i don't remember the carrier i got my car on, but it was somewhere around $1500, tho it took a little more than a month to reach bahrain.
hope it helps.

thank you adel and thank you guys as well for ur valuable feedbacks . the mentioned car is a lexus . but i guess lexus and toyota's r considered american since they've been assembled here in the states . because otherwise it doesnt worth to puy 30% custom fees and the net price will almost be as bahrain's prices . so i have to make sure f japanese "american" cars r still considered as american or not . and about the shipping am going to contact agility asap .

unless it says MADE IN USA, the car will still be a japanese product and you'll have to pay the custom. you'll have a tough time with the ppl working @ the port and you'll have a hard time trying to convince them that it's made in the US if it doesn't say made in the US and it's obviously a Japanese being it a toyota or lexus.

Usually the max is 5 % ... except special imports such as Tobacco & Alcohol etc.
