found this on FastLS1.com ... and im definatly trying it :D
------------------------------------------------------------
I have been through this... I even decided to replace the entire transmission to try a fix. Only happens from a WOT (from dead stop or near dead stop) The brand new tranny did the same thing. Laugh if you want, but Jay Fischer (Pontiac) as some of you might know, swears he has our solution and has taken care of it numerous times with one simple mod. Hell , I even took my car back to Cartk to have this fixed w/ the tune, and that didnt work... So what was the mod... A Tahoe Transmission pan. The f-body (4l60e) tranny pick up is in the front of the pan...the Tahoe pan is slanted forward so at WOT inertia doesnt keep the fluid in the back of the pan. This is why the bounce often occurs..., by 3rd the pick up is sucking air...or simply noy enough fluid...we bounce long enough for fluid flow forward and to be picked back up ...or for momentium to stall and fluid to settle (same thing happens when you let off). The pan and necessary filter will run about $100-125 discounted if I recall. You can also order the pan w/ a factory drain plug if you pick the right model year (was it 2000??). If you have issues bouncing other than wot from a stop, then it is probably the commonly weak 3-4 clutches. I hope this is informative for some of you and can be an easy fix. BTW, Jay may or may not want me sharing this info, but I cant see some of you wasting money replacing a tranny like I did when this "could" be you answer too.
And I know what your thinking...cant I just add and extra quart of fluid...I cant comment on any ill effects, but Jay once suggested I try adding at least a qt before I change the pan to see if it was any better...but only during my time at the track..not to leave it in there....wish I had had that drain plug then!
