hi guys , i think a lot of you ordered tires from TireRack.com
can you please mention the procedures and how much they charged you for your tires ?
i don't wanna take a lot of your time , just tell me
1)if you contact them by email or directly from the site ,
2)the tire size and weight
3)cost of shipping them to bahrain (if you don't wanna tell the price of the tires themselves it's okay , just let us know the shipping charges)
thanks in advance :)

i did an order few months back for 4x 18" wheels with tires... it was total 100kg maybe... they charged me $300
and recently i've ordered 4x 17" tires only, they charged me $280...
it's all by FedEx, but still worth it if you want to compare it with other places... i asked them how they get this price, they said they did a deal with FedEx to have best shipping prices...
edit:
i first sent them through website, and got in touch with one of them next day... so he is my contact now...

Cant order online with out A ZIP code for Bahrain :(
they only accept wire transfer for international orders... so you need to e-mail them for bank details and your order, so they would give you the details plus a refrence number to add when sending money...

here when i first time asked them if they accept international credit card...
"I wish we could. It would make orders much easier, but unfortunately the personal privacy laws in your country prohibit us from verifying the information we need to get the card authorized.
We accept payment by Bank Wire Transfer only."

it would take 3 extra days for the money transfer only... you've already lost 1 day now trying to figure out how to send!
you can go anytime to the airport and do it at Bahrain finance..

Bullshit... They just say this cause they are afraid.
There is no date protection law in bahrain + every valid merchant can view information of a client by calling the card issuer if the customer purchased from them. I know this cause i work for a credit card company and purchased online before.
Information such as billing address, name, telephone number will be given. If they want a more secure payment, we can send them money via paypal. As per paypal policy, all merchants are protected from fraud if the sender has a "verified account".
If you have a dollar account credit card, its always cheaper as exchange rate is .377 and your not paying the bank and wire transfer fees.

I order my race tires from tirerack on a regular basis. Shipping for 205/45/16 is around $230-250 and usually gets here in 3 days. What was posted above is correct you have to send a wire transfer, it is usally there in 2-3 days. All in all the whole order process from the first email to recieving the tires usally takes 7 days for me.

I have been ordering my race tires since 2006 and have tired to use 3 cards with them, they keep coming back saying their credit department cant veryify the card. And i have ordered from them at least 15 times.

I've used thier website as well as called in to the sales rep. Same thing. Regardless its not a hassle for me with the wire transfer. The hassle is trying to convince customs that i am not importing used tires (they think slicks are worn out tires)

i recieved it on 22nd...
they were delayed little bit becuase they usually get Hooseir tires on Wednesdays (it was 14th when they got my tires), and sent me an e-mail to confirm my order on 15th, i read it on 16th and confirmed, so they sent it out right away...
